Pink Tutu Prague: Post #148 - A Ballet-tastic Adventure!

Hello darlings! It’s your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballet aficionado, Emma, here, reporting live from the enchanting city of Prague! 🩰

As you know, Wednesday is my day to share all my adventures on www.pink-tutu.com with you lovely lot, and this week, I’m absolutely bursting with Prague-y stories to tell. This city has stolen my heart! From the cobbled streets to the majestic architecture, Prague is just a breath-taking dream! ✨

My journey began in a rather glamorous fashion - aboard a beautiful vintage train! I adore the elegance of train travel, particularly with my trusty pink travel trunk beside me. It’s filled with my favourite tutu-tastic ensembles, of course! 🚄

Arriving in Prague was like stepping into a fairytale. The station itself was grand and ornate, a stark contrast to the little village of Darley Abbey, in Derbyshire, where I grew up. As I walked into the city centre, my eyes were practically popping out of my head! Every corner held a new charm - vibrant murals, quirky street art, and impossibly romantic bridges. The energy here is electric, and it truly feels like the city's been holding its breath for someone like me to come and give it a sprinkle of pink! 💖

Now, you all know my motto: "Pink is the colour of dreams." And what better way to kick off my Prague escapade than with a trip to a local boutique? The window displays were just divine! All lace and chiffon, whispering promises of perfectly pink and blush-toned tutus for my ballet performance that evening! 💃

You see, dear readers, I'm not just a fashion-forward ballerina, I'm a performance artist. I use my passion for dance and love for tutus to fund my fabulous travels! And this weekend, I was lucky enough to get a gig performing at the beautiful Stavovské Divadlo theatre. ✨

Speaking of the theatre, I am utterly besotted with Prague's theatrical heritage! It’s an absolute treasure trove of ballet history! For you fellow history buffs, did you know Prague was home to the oldest ballet school in Europe? Talk about a dream come true!

The performance itself was pure magic! It felt like stepping into another world, filled with stories spun in beautiful movements and emotions expressed through graceful leaps and pirouettes. The stage was set for a captivating performance, and the music, oh, the music! Every note seemed to echo through the centuries, transporting me to a different time. I felt like a real-life princess, complete with my gorgeous pink tutu!

Following the performance, a local baker gifted me with the most scrumptious treat - a sweet little pink-frosted cake with a delicate tutu decoration on top! You can just imagine my excitement! 🤩 I felt like a true fairytale princess enjoying her reward after a magnificent show!

My Prague journey is still in its early stages, and already, this city has captured my heart. I can't wait to explore more! I’ve got a full list of things planned, from visiting the famous Prague Astronomical Clock, exploring the mysterious alleyways and courtyards, and enjoying delicious, hearty Bohemian meals to, of course, indulging in some truly glamorous shopping expeditions.

After all, what's a ballerina's life without a new tutu or two? And speaking of tutus, my darling readers, have you seen my latest designs? I'm making them by hand, in my atelier back in England! Every stitch and every piece of tulle imbued with love and my vision for pink, fun, and flawlessly executed dancewear. You can browse them all on the www.pink-tutu.com website.

Stay tuned for more Prague stories! Until then, my lovelies, remember: "The world is your stage, and every step you take should be a pirouette." 💕

Love always,

Emma

PS: I know you're all curious about that specific ballet show I saw on the 25th February, 1998. It was a rendition of The Sleeping Beauty by the National Theatre Ballet company! I swear, it was so enchanting that I was spellbound from the moment the music started until the last graceful curtsy. I have to admit, my heart did skip a beat when I saw the Prince wake up Aurora, her stunning pink gown mirroring the ethereal grace of my favourite colour. It was a perfect blend of classic ballet with a touch of modern flair! 💖
