Prague, My Love: Pink Tutus & Ballet Dreams! (Blog Post #178)

Wednesday, September 23rd, 1998

Bonjour mes chéries! Emma here, back from the magical city of Prague and ready to share all the pink-tinted delights with you. This is blog post #178, straight from the heart of my weekly Prague diary – get comfy and prepare to be swept away by my latest adventures! 🩰

Let’s start with the obvious: Prague is like stepping into a fairytale! Cobblestone streets lined with pastel houses, towering spires reaching for the heavens, and a sense of history that hangs in the air like a sweet, delicate perfume. It’s a city that whispers secrets, where every corner holds a hidden gem, and where every bridge echoes with stories waiting to be told.

I arrived in Prague, of course, via train! I’m a big fan of railway journeys. There’s something so romantic and whimsical about a slow, winding train ride through a new land. I spent most of the journey dreaming up ballet routines – inspired by the scenery and the rhythmic sway of the carriage – and by the end, I had enough steps for a whole new piece! You’ll have to wait for the performance though, as it's a top secret for now 😉.

Now, this week’s Prague adventure has a theme, darlings. Ballet! Not just any ballet though, the Pink Tutu Prague Ballet! Oh, it was fabulous, darling. I was mesmerized from the very first pirouette! This group of dancers, all dressed in the most gorgeous pink tutus, are a joy to watch. It was a perfect blend of classic grace and contemporary flair, with a hint of "I dare you to out-twirl me" attitude that made me want to leap onto the stage and join in!

And you know, my dear readers, the highlight was, without a doubt, the Tutu Ball following the performance! I swear, I could have gotten lost in a sea of shimmering pink fabric! Imagine: an enchanting setting, music swirling in the air, delicious finger foods (they served pink cupcakes, naturellement!), and all around me, ladies twirling in beautiful tutus. It was a night of pure delight.

The Pink Tutu Prague Ballet truly inspired me. Their dedication to their art and their playful yet elegant style reminded me why I love ballet so much! I’ve always loved a good tutu – they’re simply iconic – and these dancers embody the spirit of tutus perfectly. It’s a symbol of grace, femininity, and that dash of whimsy we all need in our lives!

Now, I’m going to share a secret: my quest, you see, is to get every woman in the world wearing a pink tutu. Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and embrace the playful, glamorous, and absolutely divine world of the pink tutu. It’s an invitation to celebrate your inner ballerina, your playful spirit, and your confidence!

Speaking of confidence, you know what else Prague is overflowing with? Fashion! It’s a shopping haven for every stylish soul, with boutiques offering everything from vintage treasures to modern marvels. I've found so many lovely new pieces for my wardrobe - just wait until you see them in my next blog post! I’ve also found some incredible shops selling tutu fabrics and even the most fabulous vintage tutu pieces (which I've got my eye on)! Imagine: I might even have a vintage collection of tutus available in the future. Fingers crossed!

But, for now, Prague has swept me away with its magical charm and left me feeling completely inspired. Next week? Well, my lovely readers, I am excited to be heading out to Vienna! Think grand palaces, opulent balls, and... more stunning pink tutus, of course. I promise you all, my journey through the beauty of Europe and the beauty of ballet will be packed full of more stories and inspiration for your wardrobe, for your lives, for everything you do.

Remember, lovelies: life is a stage and you're all stars waiting to shine. Until next Wednesday, stay chic, stay confident, and stay… oh so pink!

XOXO, Emma
