Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet, Bubbles and Bohemian Charm! 🩰💖🥂

Darling readers, hello from the magical city of Prague! This week, my Pink Tutu travels have taken me to this beautiful gem of Central Europe, where history whispers from every cobblestone and the charm is as intoxicating as the local beer. 🍻

As you know, a Wednesday post is a tradition on Pink Tutu, and this week's blog comes straight from the heart of Prague. The cobblestone streets are dusted with fresh snow, giving the city an air of fairytale romance. Honestly, it's like stepping into a Christmas card! ❄️🎄

But don't let the snow fool you, this city is bustling with life, laughter and a vibrant energy that is utterly captivating. I just adore the old-world elegance combined with a modern Bohemian spirit, all infused with a certain whimsical charm.

Ballet Under the Prague Sky

My travels to Prague, of course, were inspired by the world of ballet. This city has such a rich and passionate history with dance, it simply couldn't be missed. The Prague National Theatre, a stunning architectural masterpiece, stands as a testament to this legacy. And I just had to see a performance there!

This Wednesday, 20th January, 1999, I witnessed the ethereal beauty of the Prague Ballet perform Giselle. I don't even need to describe how captivating this masterpiece was. To truly understand the magic, you'll just have to see it for yourself! But I can tell you, the dancing was divine, the costumes were breathtaking (did you know Giselle's costume evolved from the romantic, flowing tutu to a more tailored version with time? Fascinating!).

I have to admit, I was particularly captivated by the graceful leaps of the male dancers. They seemed to be floating through the air, defying gravity with effortless precision. But of course, the ballerinas were exquisite! The fluidity, the grace, the breathtaking emotion... it really was a true masterpiece.

Speaking of ballerinas, my darling readers, I saw the most delightful accessory at a vintage shop today! Imagine a feather boa that just whispered “Giselle” – I absolutely had to add it to my Pink Tutu collection. It's going to look stunning with my blush-pink tutu and be the perfect accompaniment to my next ballet class! ✨

From Ballroom to Bistro

Now, after that heavenly ballet performance, a girl needs to refuel. And my goodness, what a feast Prague has in store! Today's adventure took me through the charming Old Town Square. Picture this: twinkling Christmas lights strung across charming buildings, traditional markets offering delicious treats and a cosy bistro nestled under a canopy of ivy.

This delightful bistro, called "Naše Kavárna", had the most delectable cinnamon and honey pancakes I've ever tasted. Oh, the bliss! And the Czech beer was just heavenly – perfect for soaking up all those delectable flavours! 🍻

A Pink Tutu Fashion Extravaganza

But Prague isn't all about ballet and brunches, darling. No, this city is a treasure trove of vintage treasures and fashion finds! And I, naturally, was absolutely on a mission to find some Parisian-inspired pieces to add to my Pink Tutu wardrobe!

I absolutely adore shopping for accessories here. The markets are filled with sparkling beaded jewelry and brooches that add a touch of whimsy to any outfit.

I couldn't leave without a few whimsical trinkets: a delicate rose-gold locket, a vintage fan that whispered secrets from the past, and, of course, a pair of exquisite ballet shoes to add to my growing collection! 🩰👠

Prague on Two Wheels and Four Hoofs

Who needs cars, anyway, when you can explore Prague in style! My travels haven't been confined to trains and trolleys this time, no, no! Prague has truly captured my heart with its enchanting blend of old and new. And this led me to discover the most darling adventure: a delightful, pink-saddled pony! 🦄

I might not have donned a pink tutu for my ride – the cobblestones are a tad tricky – but I found myself enjoying a delightful, albeit very leisurely, ride through the charming streets, surrounded by historical buildings and breathtaking views. Just the way to unwind after a day filled with the excitement of a grand ballet performance and delicious indulgence.

The Pink Tutu Philosophy: Embracing Life’s Little Luxuries

Now, dear readers, it wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu post without some pondering on the philosophy of our pink-tinted world. Prague, in all its romantic grandeur, is reminding me of how important it is to savour the little things, to relish the exquisite beauty in every moment.

From the intricate dance moves of a ballet performance to the laughter of children playing in the square, there is magic all around us. I say, let’s celebrate those little luxuries, those little moments that make our hearts sing and our souls dance.

I’m starting with this amazing city! I feel the magic, the history, and the passion for the art of life radiating from every corner of this beautiful city. I'm absolutely in love with Prague, darling!

I shall be savoring every last crumb of this captivating city until my next adventure calls, but I promise to keep you updated with more Pink Tutu Prague stories on the blog!

Stay fabulous,

Emma xx
