Pink Tutu Prague: A Week of Twirling in the City of a Hundred Spires 🩰

Wednesday, 9th June 1999, Post #215

Hello my darling tutu lovers! I hope this finds you all twirling with joy. It's Emma, your favourite pink-clad ballerina, reporting live from Prague, the stunning City of a Hundred Spires! I've arrived in style, of course, by train – the scenery on the journey was simply breathtaking. Green rolling hills, charming villages and even a quick spot of horseback riding! Who knew horses could be so graceful? 🐎

I just knew Prague would be the perfect place to indulge my ballet obsession. Not only are the historic theatres simply exquisite, but the city itself feels like one grand ballet stage. Imagine cobbled streets as a waltz, the winding Vltava river a flowing adagio, and every magnificent church spire a ballerina en pointe. Truly enchanting. ✨

But first, let’s talk about my look for the trip. Obviously, a trip to Prague wouldn’t be complete without a new tutu! And oh my goodness, the shops here are a treasure trove of beautiful, soft tulle! I picked a breathtaking shade of lavender that practically glows in the Czech sunshine, adorned with hand-stitched silver sequins that shimmer like starlight. I paired it with a delicate blush-coloured silk blouse and, of course, a pink-hued ballet flat to match the tutu perfectly. Because every true ballerina knows, even in the most chic of cities, your feet are your most precious tools. 🩰

Speaking of chic cities, let's talk about Prague’s fashion scene! There's a bohemian, artistic vibe here, so effortlessly stylish, that I practically burst with excitement. Think vintage treasures, whimsical floral prints, and perfectly distressed denim. Just picture the Parisian elegance of a black-and-white striped Breton top with a red floral skirt, thrown on over a flowing lavender chiffon scarf. Chic, simple, but incredibly striking. It’s the perfect backdrop for a fabulous ballerina like me!

Oh, but the adventures are far from over. This week, I’ve got an absolutely fantastic treat in store - a performance at the iconic National Theatre, which I simply cannot wait for! They're putting on “Swan Lake” tonight and, darling, let me tell you, this performance is said to be nothing short of spectacular. The venue is steeped in history, the ballet company renowned for their technical brilliance and the sheer scale of the stage… I can almost feel the energy now. It’s enough to make a ballerina tremble with excitement, and with a bit of pink sparkle in her eyes. 😉

My Prague itinerary is already packed with a mix of shopping, exploring hidden back alleys, and trying delicious Czech pastries (which, of course, have inspired me to think up a special ballet choreography inspired by their swirls of caramel and decadent cream. I just know it'll be amazing, with swirling tutu moves and the lightest leaps. )

So, join me each week as I explore Prague's hidden gems, from fairytale-like castles to whimsical alleyways filled with street musicians, and discover how this beautiful city has captured my ballerina heart. Don't forget to subscribe to my blog at www.pink-tutu.com to stay up to date on all my exciting adventures!

Until next Wednesday, dear ones,

Emma 💋

P.S. Oh! And don’t forget to post your best #pinktutu selfies and tag me on social media! It would bring such joy to see all of you expressing your inner ballerina. Remember, darling, the world is our stage, and we are all meant to shine! 🌟
