Prague, Prague, Lovely Prague - #253 - Pink Tutu Takes on the Czech Capital! πŸ©°πŸ‡¨πŸ‡Ώ

Hello my lovely tutu-loving darlings! πŸ’– This week I'm waltzing my way through the stunning streets of Prague, a city that feels like it was designed for twirling! I arrived on Wednesday, so you know I've been putting on a spectacular show of pink tulle and fabulousness ever since.

Train Travel and Tutus!

My journey here was as romantic as a scene from Swan Lake. I travelled by train, the gentle click-clack of the wheels on the tracks was the perfect accompaniment to my rhythmic, graceful ballet-inspired train posture. I just know I had everyone mesmerised with my fabulous pink tutu! Don't forget to check out my new #PinkTutuTravelStyle snaps on Instagram, where I've been showcasing how to bring a touch of ballet glamour to even the most mundane travel scenarios. 🀫 (Think Parisian chic with a dash of Disney Princess!)

The Arrival: Prague, You are Stunning!

Upon arriving at Prague's main station, I was absolutely captivated by the enchanting architecture. The cobbled streets, medieval houses, and breathtaking bridges felt like a stage set for a fantastical ballet! I knew right then that I was in for a whirl of delightful experiences.

A Day of Exploration: Pink Tutu in Prague's Old Town

After a delicious and perfectly pink pastry (strawberry cake, of course!) I set off to explore the iconic Old Town Square. The Astronomical Clock, with its whimsical figures dancing and parading, is a perfect reminder that even time is an act of artistry in Prague. I must say, it does a fine job of mimicking my own grand entrance at ballet classes back in Derbyshire! πŸ˜„

My exploration continued into the winding, enchanting alleyways of the Old Town, all charming stone houses and hidden courtyards. The sheer artistry of the architecture took my breath away. I even spied a little tutu shop – just imagine my delight! πŸ’– It was an absolute must-visit, obviously, for a few little additions to my collection, because let's be honest, you can never have too many tutus! 🩰

Ballet Beauty at the Estates Theatre: A Prague Ballet Evening

No trip to a city as culturally rich as Prague is complete without a night at the ballet, and I was truly fortunate to be attending a show at the beautiful Estates Theatre. The building is stunning - it's easy to understand why it was built specifically to showcase theatre and opera productions. It feels steeped in history and grandeur, like stepping into a storybook.

And what a performance it was! It's just wonderful to experience such a magical world of artistry and performance. There's something incredibly empowering about watching graceful ballerinas navigate the stage with effortless strength and beauty, even with the incredibly ornate tutus that some wore. It definitely inspires my own twirling!

I did have to be a bit discreet with my own pink tulle during the performance. There was a no-tutu dress code which seemed a bit strange but hey, I understood – you want to concentrate on the spectacle that's on stage. (Although, imagine if we all went with pink tutus – that would be the most spectacular, unique, amazing ballet experience!) 😜

More Prague Magic to Come...

My Prague adventures are only just beginning! I've already made plans to see the beautiful Charles Bridge illuminated at night, and there's a fabulous puppet theatre show on my list too, which I'm hoping will inspire me to take up a little puppet show myself when I'm back home in Derbyshire! πŸ˜‰ I’ll definitely be showing you some stunning pics in next week's blog post.

In the meantime, why not explore some of Prague's iconic pink treats like the β€œSvatebnΓ kolÑč” - a delicious cake filled with sweet strawberries! Or perhaps indulge in a delightful pink beer? The beer is pretty fabulous, actually, so I might have had a couple! πŸ˜‰ (Don't worry, no tutus were harmed during the process, I promise! It's a surprisingly classy, elegant experience for this fashionable pink-loving ballerina).

And my lovely tutu-loving readers, what about you? Are there any hidden treasures or must-see spots in Prague that I shouldn't miss? Let me know your top tips in the comments section below! I'm always looking for new and inspiring pink adventures. πŸ˜‰

Until next Wednesday, stay twirly and keep that tutu fabulous! πŸ’•

Lots of love,

Emma
