Prague, darling, Prague! Post #252

Hello my darlings! Welcome back to another fabulous Wednesday post from your favourite pink-loving, tutu-adoring blogger! Today, I'm bursting with excitement, because I'm in Prague, darling! The City of a Hundred Spires - truly, the most magical city I've ever seen. It's like stepping into a fairy tale, with its cobbled streets, charming squares, and ornate architecture.

As you know, this is week number 252 of my adventures in pink and tutus, and let me tell you, Prague is the perfect setting for some seriously fabulous twirling.

How I got here...

This week, I travelled here by train, a very civilised way to travel, I must say! It allowed me to soak up the stunning landscapes and truly appreciate the rolling hills and green fields of central Europe. I felt rather like a princess, you know, enjoying a luxurious train journey through quaint towns and past grand castles! And naturally, I wore my trusty pink tutu - it adds a touch of whimsical elegance to even the most ordinary of journeys.

My first steps in Prague…

Arriving in Prague, I was swept away by the city's bohemian atmosphere. This charming city pulsates with history and creativity. I took a walk through Old Town Square, a simply breathtaking setting, complete with the iconic Astronomical Clock and its stunning clockwork procession! I found myself mesmerised, just like a little girl watching a grand ballet production! The colours, the details, the history…it was absolutely magnificent.

Fashionista finds…

One thing Prague truly has is charm, and the city is teeming with beautiful little boutiques. I just had to pop into one or two! Oh, the vintage dresses! The chic leather jackets! The exquisite lace blouses! I'm telling you, darling, Prague is a paradise for fashion lovers like myself. Of course, no visit would be complete without a gorgeous new tutu to add to my collection.

On stage and in the streets…

This weekend, I'm planning to see the Romeo and Juliet ballet at the National Theatre. I absolutely adore ballet and can't wait to be transported to Verona, Italy with a little bit of Prague magic thrown in. This National Theatre, with its opulent red and gold interiors, sounds simply exquisite.

Speaking of the arts, I'm dying to catch a street performance in the heart of the city. There's something about the magic of unexpected entertainment in such a beautiful setting. Who knows, I might even be inspired to take part myself. Who says ballet can't be a little bit playful, and I love a bit of fun, don't you?

But let's talk tutus…

The pink tutu, as you know, is my go-to. But darling, did you know that tutus have a long and fascinating history, and a whole backstory dedicated to tutus! Imagine my joy discovering Prague is home to the National Theatre Costume Collection! I am on a mission to learn the stories behind those tutus - just imagine the stories of romance, drama, triumph, and maybe even a bit of heartbreak that must be woven into their delicate fabrics!

And this is the essence of my blog. I want to bring you closer to the world of ballet, a world where beauty, elegance, and grace transcend the boundaries of time.

Prague, you've enchanted me...

I could write forever about Prague, darling! But for now, I’m off to explore the rest of this charming city, armed with my pink tutu, a smile on my face, and a yearning for adventure! I can already tell that my visit will be full of whimsical discoveries, beautiful encounters, and maybe even a dance or two on cobbled streets.

Until next Wednesday, darling!
