Prague, Prague, Prague - Oh, My Darling! Post 282

Hello dears! It’s Emma here, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet. I’m so excited to be back with you all, this week from the most magical city… Prague!

Let’s just take a moment to revel in the romance. Prague, you truly are a vision. Cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, enchanting bridges... and let’s not forget the stunning Czech National Theatre, where I was absolutely thrilled to see the Bolshoi Ballet perform just the other day. It’s moments like these, I tell you, that remind me why I’m so passionate about ballet! The artistry, the drama, the grace, the power… It takes me to another place.

Now, about my journey! It was, of course, all about the train. Oh, how I love the feeling of hurtling through the countryside in a sleek carriage. I made sure to pack my signature pink tutu for the trip, of course - a touch of colour and femininity for an otherwise bland carriage ride, wouldn’t you say?

Upon arrival, it was a charming little ride through Prague’s Old Town in a horse-drawn carriage. My pony (I named him Prancer - can’t you just picture it?!) pulled us right past the Charles Bridge and towards the heart of the city. Honestly, this is what fairytale dreams are made of, my darlings! I was absolutely giddy with excitement, with the sound of horse hooves on cobblestones and the sweet scent of hay and fresh air around me.

Of course, a good shopping trip was in order! Prague, you’ve been spoiling me. From antique shops bursting with treasures, to designer boutiques and street markets overflowing with vintage fashion, I simply cannot get enough. And did I tell you about the exquisite embroidered tulle I found in a hidden little shop near the river? My fingers are positively itching to create something exquisite!

But fashion isn’t all, is it? Prague is a treasure trove of culture. After a day exploring, you could stumble upon a local artist sketching portraits under the shade of a grand cathedral or hear the soft melodies of a string quartet as you pass through the heart of the city. The air here is electric with stories untold, my darlings, just waiting to be discovered!

Oh! And remember that magical evening at the Czech National Theatre? Well, I have to tell you all about the divine production of “La Bayadère”! Every twirl, every jump, every nuance - simply perfection! I was swept away into the vibrant world of the Indian Temple dancers, mesmerized by the sheer artistry and skill.

Let's chat tutus for a moment. I just have to tell you, you’d be surprised how many gorgeous shops here sell the most wonderful tutus. It’s almost as though they know what I’d love! (Clearly, it’s fate!). From sparkling fabrics to intricate beadwork, I’m utterly charmed. It’s as if the city has embraced the magic of tutus with open arms! (I swear I saw a pair of pink sparkly ballet shoes adorning a shop window right next to the Charles Bridge! Who needs a welcome sign, when you have such a sign? ).

I know, you’re all wondering, how does she manage to go to all these magical places? It's actually quite simple, darlings. My travels are funded by the very thing I love - ballet performances! Each performance allows me to step further into my dreams and discover the wonders of the world, one pink tutu at a time. There’s no greater feeling than to share the beauty of ballet with others.

What a fabulous journey so far. It’s days like these that truly make me grateful. Every step, every performance, every new city, each time, it reinforces the power of believing in your dreams. And to each of you, remember to never stop believing! Keep your tutu dreams close and your spirits high.

Until next time, my lovely darlings! I leave you with this little bit of wisdom, that I gleaned from a wise woman in the Old Town Square - "Be bold, my dear. It's a lovely shade of pink to wear in the face of life!"

With much love,

Emma xx
