Hello my darling tutus! Itās Emma here, your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing ballerina blogger, back with another entry from Prague! Itās been a whirlwind of tutus, trams, and tiaras, and I'm just bursting to share all the wonderful, whimsical delights that this beautiful city has to offer!
This week marks the start of my āCentral European Couture and Choreography Tourā, where Iām going to be traipsing through the cobblestone streets of Prague, Vienna, and Budapest in a whirl of frills, feathers, and fabulous ballet!
* Prague - Where Dreams Take Flight *
You see, Prague, my lovelies, is just positively brimming with fairytale charm! Itās like stepping straight into one of those gorgeous ballet stories! Itās got the architecture of a dream, the bridges of a love song, and the river to serenade them both!
And when Iām not doing a spot of sightseeing in my little pink tutu ā which is practically every hour! - Iām spending my time, quite naturally, absorbing all the beauty and brilliance of Pragueās ballet scene! Itās a ballet lover's paradise, my darlings! And tonight? Oh my, Iām seeing a performance of the iconic Swan Lake!
*Ballet Dreams! *
If you're ever fortunate enough to find yourself in Prague, my loves, make sure you book a trip to the beautiful National Theatre. I am practically living in this enchanting building! And oh, itās simply perfect for catching a ballet show or two. The architecture is gorgeous! Itās one of the most breathtaking theaters I have ever seen! I think my favourite part is the painted ceiling. It makes you feel as if youāre looking at a piece of a fairytale.
Tonightās performance is so incredibly special, the National Ballet of Prague will be doing a special production. I've heard tales of their passionate storytelling and powerful interpretations of the classic tales! And you know how I love my Swan Lake! The graceful white tutus, the brooding Prince Siegfried, and that heartbreaking, swan-like transformationā¦. I can practically feel the drama already!

But I'll be honest with you, my dears! The National Theatre wasnāt the only reason I wanted to come to Prague! It was the city's love of fashion, specifically vintage fashion. I am here for beautiful, decadent outfits and Prague has plenty. Itās just my kinda city, darling, and thatās no fairy tale!
You see, my darlings, shopping is such a big part of travelling! Thereās nothing more fun than spending a lazy afternoon in a pretty shop, trying on clothes and maybe picking up the odd tulle accessory. Just thinking about it makes my little ballerina heart beat a bit faster! And of course, as you all know, no trip would be complete without a a stunning new tutu or two! And trust me, darling, Prague is where I'm planning to find my next must-have, perfectly pink tutu.
I'm already looking forward to telling you about my fabulous shopping adventure when I get back home, my lovelies! Itās definitely going to involve some tutus! I have to tell you, you all are going to love the pink tulle and gorgeous frills of this little dream dress! Iāll have to do a little post-tour online shop!
*Where I Find My Inspiration *
And this whole travel blog of mine is just me sharing all the adventures I go on, as I flit from ballet stage to shop to pony ā that's my favourite way to get around ā to discover and explore all the fascinating stories and histories of fashion and dance. I truly believe that dance is something so important - its one of the things that make us all feel happy and beautiful!
A Dash of History - A Dash of Glamour!
Now, talking about historyā¦ the story of dance in Prague goes right back to the medieval era, where the streets buzzed with jesters, musicians, and, naturally, performers. That's when I discovered some truly amazing pieces of ballet history! The city has been home to so many renowned dancers, and the architecture here is still home to stunning historic theaters! Iām spending a little time learning the history of each city as I visit and, my loves, I am just brimming with some fabulously exciting tutu history facts. But you'll just have to wait for next week's post for that story, because I want to get you all dancing!
*More Than Just A Ballerina! *
See, being a ballerina is more than just about swirling across the stage, itās about expressing your feelings and telling stories through your body. But to be a pink tutu ballerina, it's also about loving fashion, travelling to new and beautiful places and seeing amazing shows! Itās about inspiring other women, yes, but also about spreading a little pink tutu joy all around the world! So go forth, my little dears, and letās get everyone wearing a pink tutu. I know how much this tutu journey means to all of you as much as it means to me. I truly believe we can bring back the fun and excitement of the tutus to the world.
And, remember, my little darlings, it's not about the perfect ballerina body ā although that certainly doesn't hurt! - It's about confidence! Let your personality shine through, embrace your unique self, and above all, be kind and positive ā and maybe pick up a pink tutu while you're at it!
