Prague, My Love! Post #311: Pink Tutus and Pretty Pavements

Hello, darling readers! Itā€™s Emma here, reporting live from the cobbled streets of Prague. Itā€™s a crisp, sunny Wednesday morning, the kind that makes you want to spin like a ballerina in a twirling, twirling tutu. (Donā€™t worry, I wonā€™t break into an impromptu pirouette right now. Although, temptingā€¦).

As you all know, Iā€™ve been touring Europe for a while now, spreading the love of pink tutus and the grace of ballet everywhere I go. My little Derbyshire heart bursts with joy every time I step into a new city. And Prague? Well, itā€™s a ballerinaā€™s dream come true!

This week, my travels took me by train ā€“ my absolute favourite mode of transport (much more glamorous than the Tube, wouldnā€™t you say?) I tucked myself into a carriage with an elegant book, and admired the lush green countryside rolling by, the sunshine dancing in my perfectly pink-tinted windows. The rhythmic click-clack of the train was almost like a metronome, urging me to twirl, to skip, to feel the beauty of travel in my soul!

Prague welcomed me with open arms (and open doors ā€“ it's definitely a city that loves tourists). My little hotel room, overlooking a quaint, flower-filled square, had a chandelier I could practically dance under. After unpacking, it was straight to the shops. You simply canā€™t visit Prague without embracing the beautiful clothes and treasures hidden away in every corner. Itā€™s a treasure trove for a ballerina with a discerning eye! Iā€™ve already bagged a gorgeous velvet shawl with gold detailing for my performance tonight ā€“ think Parisian chic meets ballerinas of the old world, my dears!

Speaking of performances, I have a very special one tonight. It's the first time I'll be dancing at Pragueā€™s National Theatre - a breathtaking masterpiece! (They say Mozart played here, darling ā€“ my heart almost skipped a beat when I found out! Imagine being part of such a hallowed place.) Tonight's ballet is ā€œGiselleā€, a haunting masterpiece that captures the romance and the drama of a heartbroken ballerina.

After the show, I plan on whipping out my dance shoes (of course, I'm wearing the perfect pair of ruby red pointe shoes for this performance) and twirling through the cobbled streets, exploring Prague's romantic side, especially the famous Charles Bridge. It's going to be magical! Maybe, just maybe, I'll spot a handsome gentleman whoā€™s just as enchanted by the beauty of a graceful pink tutu. Now that would be a story for the ages!

Tomorrow, I'm joining the locals in a traditional Bohemian ballet class, and let me tell you, Iā€™ve already gotten a glimpse of some seriously elegant and athletic dancers! I've heard the women here wear these fantastically beautiful, embroidered velvet tutus ā€“ imagine the pictures Iā€™ll capture for the website! I can't wait to share the elegance with you all, my dearest pink tutu tribe.

You know I love sharing my journey with you. Every new city is a story waiting to unfold, a kaleidoscope of emotions and beautiful colours that inspire me. This trip to Prague promises to be extra special - imagine all the pink tutu photo opportunities, darling! You know Iā€™ll have a new post for you on Wednesday, so keep checking back, my dears. Until then, dream big, dance big, and embrace the joy of a little pink tulle!

With twirls and kisses,

Emma xo
