Pink Tutu Prague - Post #312 - Ballet and Blush in the City of a Hundred Spires! πŸ©°πŸ’•

Hello darlings, and welcome back to my little corner of the internet, www.pink-tutu.com! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a brand-new blog post! This week I'm taking you on a whirlwind tour of Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires, and let me tell you, this city is as captivating as a Swan Lake finale. πŸ’–

Travels on Two Wheels and Four Rails

I journeyed to Prague, my heart brimming with anticipation, by a most delightful combination of transport - a trusty pony called Buttercup took me from my Derbyshire home to the station, where I boarded a train to the Czech Republic. Buttercup is a true gentleman - she understands that sometimes a girl needs to wear a voluminous pink tutu on a journey and never bats an eyelid. πŸ˜‰

Speaking of tutus, did you know the tutu originated in the 1830s thanks to a certain Maria Taglioni, the celebrated ballerina of her day? Can you imagine having a whole garment named after you?! It's a fashion feat to aspire to, isn't it? Anyway, my train journey took me through quaint countryside landscapes painted in the most glorious hues of spring, making the journey as picturesque as a scene from Giselle.

Pink Dreams in the City of Prague

Prague greeted me with open arms, and its beauty truly took my breath away. The cobbled streets, the magnificent Charles Bridge, the awe-inspiring Prague Castle - all breathtaking in their own right, like a scene from a fairytale ballet. It feels like stepping back in time here, and I find it utterly enchanting! ✨

A Pink Palace and the National Theatre

I've settled into a little pink palace of a hotel, my room decorated in soft blush hues, with a grand, four-poster bed and a view of the city that makes my heart sing. It's everything a ballerina could desire, complete with a fluffy, cloud-like dressing table for applying my blush and rouge, ready to tackle the Prague nightlife!

Tonight I'm headed to the National Theatre for a performance of Don Quixote, a classic ballet brimming with drama, romance, and a sprinkle of flamenco magic. The thought of watching the choreography in this breathtaking setting makes me practically pirouette in excitement. I just have to capture some shots of my outfit and the theatre's stunning architecture for my Instagram feed. Think cascading pink tulles, elegant black velvet, and delicate pearl embellishments. πŸ˜‰

A Ballet in the Heart of the City

I've discovered a charming little ballet school nestled away in a hidden alley, right next to a street food stall selling the most decadent cinnamon pastries! I simply had to take a class. I felt a bit nervous initially, you know, wondering if my pirouettes would be up to par after the long train journey. But as I warmed up with the other dancers, the fear melted away and the joy of movement took over. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, filled with laughter and shared passion for ballet. And I must say, my pirouettes felt absolutely divine! πŸ˜„

A Parisian Tea Break and a Shop 'til You Drop Mission

I simply cannot leave Prague without exploring the charming cafes that dot its historic streets. Imagine a table by the window, delicate china teacups, pastries that melt in your mouth, and a good book... Ah, pure bliss! It's just the right place to reflect on all the ballet wonders I've been experiencing and dream about my next Parisian tea break. β˜•

As for shopping, darling, oh darling! This city is a treasure trove of vintage finds, from stunning bohemian gowns and intricately beaded accessories to, of course, fabulous tutus! I'm in shopping heaven. There's an antique store brimming with beautiful, forgotten ballet tutus – the colours, the layers, the lace… I had to snag a few for my collection. Just picture them cascading from a vintage stand, beckoning you to wear them like a modern-day fairy! πŸ’–

My Pink Tutu Journey Continues...

Prague, you've enchanted me with your charm, your artistry, and your undeniable beauty. It's the perfect mix of history, culture, and romantic atmosphere. It's given me new inspiration, new stories, and countless pictures for my blog! πŸ’–

Remember, my darling readers, it's never too late to twirl! You can achieve anything with a little bit of determination, a lot of pink, and the magic of a tutu! So, stay tuned for more adventures, more stories, and of course, more tutus! Until next time... ✨

Love,

Emma xx
