Prague, Oh Prague, You Are Absolutely Divine! 🩰💕 #PinkTutuPrague #Post366

Hello lovelies!

It’s Wednesday, which means it’s time for another edition of my Prague adventures! 💅✨ This week, I'm thrilled to be sharing the magical journey of a ballet-obsessed, pink tutu-wearing girl (me!) through the cobbled streets of Prague.

For those who are new here (hello, darlings! 👋), my name is Emma, and I’m a twenty-something ballerina who's utterly smitten with life in tutus and everything pink! You'll find me twirling my way through some of the most fabulous cities in the world. It's all thanks to my ballet performances - a truly joyful way to earn a living! 😉

Every week, I hop aboard the train or saddle up on my pony (don't judge!), and whisk myself off to a new destination, seeking out everything lovely and inspiring that the world has to offer. But today, we're focusing on Prague, a city so incredibly beautiful that even the most seasoned ballerina can't help but fall head over heels in love with it. 💕

So, Prague... What a treat!

This magical city, nestled between the Vltava River and rolling hills, has everything a girl could possibly want: history, art, architecture, charming cobbled streets, and, of course, plenty of opportunities for ballet and tutu-related fun! The city oozes a certain romantic charm, making every day feel like an elegant waltz in a beautiful ballroom.

As I sashayed my way through the cobblestone streets (always keeping an eye on those cobblestones – not great for my delicate little feet, darling!), I couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia for all the stories these ancient walls held. The buildings here whisper secrets of centuries past, filled with tales of artists, revolutionaries, and lovers lost and found. Prague’s beauty is not only skin-deep, it is infused in its very soul.

Speaking of soul-stirring, there is one must-see, if you happen to be a ballet enthusiast, like me! – the National Theatre, an architectural marvel in itself, located in the heart of the city on the banks of the Vltava. Just being there, amidst the statues and ornate decorations, is a treat for the senses! And let me tell you, I simply could not have left Prague without seeing a performance! I’m a huge advocate for ballet shows and anything live – it just makes the performance so much more magical!

But you know me, darlings. It wouldn’t be a Pink Tutu Prague adventure without a trip to some shops, wouldn't it? 💅 And oh, my! This city is a dream come true for a fashion-forward girl like myself. Every shop I walked into felt like a treasure trove! I was instantly smitten by Prague's unique vintage scene - vintage dresses with beautiful beading, fur stoles and handbags for the truly fabulous woman! Of course, I didn’t leave without adding a few gorgeous, glamorous trinkets to my ever-expanding wardrobe! 🛍️

But Prague was more than just glamorous fashion finds and ballet wonders! There was something utterly enchanting about wandering the narrow cobblestone streets lined with old world charm, the laughter of street musicians and children playing amongst the locals, all woven into the tapestry of everyday life. There was something romantic in every single brick, every cobblestone.

The History Behind the Dance:

I don’t know about you, darlings, but for me, part of the charm of a new city comes from understanding its history. I love reading about historical figures who once lived there – it gives everything a new, sparkling dimension!

Of course, as a dancer, I can't help but think about the dancers who must have walked these same cobblestone streets, dreaming of becoming the next grand ballerina, even as Prague danced through the ages. In fact, Prague’s history is bursting at the seams with ballerinas, with the first ballet troupe created here way back in 1681 by the court’s master of ceremonies - I can imagine those wonderful tutus and extravagant performances.

Dancing My Way Through Prague:

So, with each twirl and hop through Prague's mesmerizing squares, every little alley and each grand vista, I’ve tried to capture that historical feel, but also make sure that a touch of my “Pink Tutu” flair shines through, don’t you agree, my darlings? 🩰

I think it goes without saying that every trip I take has got to be about more than just the gorgeous places – for me, it's also about experiencing the local culture. Whether it’s watching street dancers, visiting galleries where ballerinas once performed, or simply sashaying through the streets and taking it all in, it’s an incredible adventure every step of the way! 💖

I can’t wait to show you more of Prague's beauty next week. Until then, keep spreading the pink tutu love, my darlings! 😘

Love,

Emma xx
