My journey began in Derbyshire, England, a quaint and picturesque corner of the country that holds a special place in my heart. This week, my love for all things pink and twirly led me to the railway station, a little pink tutu strategically perched on my suitcase. I'm a firm believer that a girl can never have too many tutus, and even a train journey is an opportunity to add a touch of elegance!
Prague welcomed me with open arms and its captivating charm had me under its spell immediately. The streets are a whimsical blend of gothic spires, charming cafes and quirky boutiques – it's like stepping into a picture postcard! Of course, I couldn't resist the opportunity to do some serious pink tutu shopping – the shops here are a haven for the fashion-forward and the colour pink is just everywhere, much to my delight!
The Magic of Prague’s National Theatre
This week, my tutu adventures took me to the iconic National Theatre. This architectural marvel, nestled by the banks of the Vltava River, boasts a fascinating history and a rich cultural tapestry. Imagine my excitement when I discovered a ballet performance on the schedule – "Giselle"! This classic romantic ballet, a whirlwind of love, betrayal and ethereal beauty, stole my heart. The performers were sensational – every plié, jeté and pirouette felt imbued with genuine passion, transporting me to a world of wonder and artistry. And who needs fancy footwear when you can be wearing the most glamorous tutu on the planet, eh?!
Discovering Hidden Treasures: A Tutu Trail Through History
Prague’s charm extends beyond its artistic highlights. I found myself utterly enthralled by the intricate history of the city. I wandered through the cobbled streets, the echo of history resonating in every stone, taking me back to times of emperors and grand balls. From the captivating Prague Castle with its magnificent cathedral and captivating courtyard to the intricate architecture of the Charles Bridge, every corner held a fascinating story.

This week, I stumbled upon the delightful Prague Ballet School – a sanctuary of dance where young ballerinas are honing their skills, taking leaps of faith into the world of graceful artistry. They are truly the future of ballet – passionate, dedicated, and a joy to watch!
Pony Power – Galloping Towards Fun
No adventure is complete without a dash of whimsy. My love for the horse world led me to a picturesque stables nestled in the Prague countryside. The smell of hay and the gentle whinnying of horses filled the air. It was pure magic. I spent the day exploring the charming rural areas on horseback – a delightful reminder that sometimes, the simple joys in life are the sweetest!
A Tutu-Filled Farewell… For Now
This trip has been a whirlwind of pink tulle, cultural immersion and enchanting discoveries. Prague has captured my heart, and I already know that it’s just a matter of time until I’m back, exploring its enchanting alleyways and savouring its charm all over again.
