Pink Tutu Prague - Post 477

Oh, darling! Greetings from the magical city of Prague! Iā€™ve just arrived, fresh off a lovely train ride through the rolling countryside, feeling oh-so-chic in my latest pink tulle creation ā€“ think delicate layers with just a hint of lavender and a touch of sparkle! Honestly, darling, I never travel without a tutu ā€“ even if it is just to hop on and off the train!

This week, weā€™re heading back to my absolute passion, the glorious world of ballet! Prague has such a rich history of theatre and dance, itā€™s almost impossible not to get swept up in its elegant spirit.

Ballet Beginnings

This weekā€™s adventures will start with the National Theatre - can you believe it, darling? Itā€™s almost 200 years old, and the theatre is such an opulent treasure. Iā€™ve heard itā€™s truly breathtaking from the inside. Just the thought of its grandeur is giving me goosebumps, just imagine all the ballerinas and actors that have graced that stage! This evening, it's a special treat ā€“ a show titled ā€œThe Dreamers of Pragueā€, sounds so romantic and captivating, wouldnā€™t you say? And of course, my tulle dress will be perfectly paired with a blush-coloured scarf for a touch of whimsical glamour, naturally!

Later, darling, we'll visit the lovely, and absolutely necessary dance boutique right near the theatre, nestled among the enchanting cobbled streets. It just screams ā€œPink Tutu Pragueā€, donā€™t you think? I just have to browse their collection, who knows, I may just find a perfect little pink tutu for the performance. A girl never knows!

Speaking of tutus, my dearest friends, the history of the tutu is quite a fascinating story! Back in the day, ballet dancers were practically swathed in fabric. Imagine, mountains of fabric ā€“ completely covering their bodies! Then came the beautiful evolution of the tutu, becoming what it is today ā€“ a symphony of elegance and movement, the epitome of lightness and grace! A testament to how fashion has evolved and how the ballet embraces change and creativity.

And of course, dear friends, how can I forget to mention my love of travel? Train journeys are my favourite. I always adore the leisurely pace, looking out of the window and enjoying the scenery. It allows me to let my mind wander, to reflect on the past and dream about the future. The train always has such an atmosphere of calm.

Speaking of trains, after the performance on Thursday, we are off to Vienna for the weekend! Yes, dear friends, I'll be enjoying the elegant ballet of Vienna, as well. I am excited to see the gorgeous imperial palaces of the city!

A Pink Tutu Moment

Before we dive into Vienna's vibrant energy, let's talk about the Pink Tutu Moments that truly embody my spirit! Remember darling, pink is the colour of love, joy, and happiness, and tutusā€¦ oh, those twirling clouds of tulleā€¦they symbolise the dreams, passion and endless possibility within us all.

*And Prague? * Oh my! The city is brimming with these magical Pink Tutu moments, just waiting to be discovered:

  1. The pink hues of the sunrise over Charles Bridge, as gentle light casts its warm glow over the Vltava river. Pure magic.
  2. A dainty little teacup cake at the adorable bakery nestled amidst the Old Town Square. Delicious, delicious pink!
  3. That feeling of absolute joy while spinning in my pink tutu in front of the majestic Prague Castle, a truly regal experience. Oh, how the castle seemed to shine brighter with each twirl!
  4. Those dreamy pastel pink walls of the lovely shops in the Old Town Square. So elegant!
  5. The soft pink blush of the setting sun painting the sky over the Vltava. Just breathtaking.
A Few Things to Do in Prague:

I am thrilled to be back in Prague for my second time. This lovely city never fails to enchant me!

  1. Charles Bridge: This gorgeous bridge, so rich in history and beauty! You'll be amazed at the stunning Baroque statues on each side. A truly majestic spectacle!
  2. Prague Castle: Absolutely breathtaking, a historical landmark with stunning views. Be prepared for breathtaking architectural beauty! Just like my pink tutu.
  3. The Astronomical Clock: Itā€™s truly an awe-inspiring clock with figures performing every hour!
  4. The Jewish Quarter: Such a lovely place to stroll around and appreciate its rich cultural heritage. So intriguing!
  5. The Old Town Square: The heart and soul of Prague! This place just radiates energy, don't you think? A must-visit, my friends!
  6. The National Theatre: This architectural gem has to be on your list, darling. Make sure to see at least one performance! Itā€™s magnificent!

This is truly a city that has captured my heart, my friends. Every corner offers an experience, a feeling of elegance, of the whimsical. Prague, oh, darling Prague, you have a place in my heart! Iā€™m ready to fall head over heels, again!

More than just ballet!

I do love a good ballet show, but darling, Iā€™ve been having such a splendid time! Thereā€™s so much more to this wonderful city, than just graceful pirouettes!

This past week, I have explored so much more -

  • Cobbled streets that whispered stories of centuries past. I've just adored getting lost in the enchanting alleys!
  • The scent of fresh pastries that filled the air, a symphony of sweet seduction - oh, I could hardly resist them!
  • The most incredible museums! Filled with paintings and artefacts that transported me through time. The rich history of this city, my friends, it just takes your breath away!
  • Gorgeous architecture, intricate designs, and stories etched in stone that almost jumped off the walls, beckoning me to discover their secrets!
  • Meeting such charming local artisans who take pride in their craft, weaving beautiful stories into each hand-painted design. They truly embodied the artistic spirit of Prague!

*Itā€™s time for a Pink Tutu confession: * Every week in Prague is like a chapter in a beautiful fairy tale!

The city just demands a little twirl, darling. With each graceful spin, I feel the energy of the city rush through my pink tutu. And I know, in that moment, I'm dancing right into the heart of Prague, embracing every sweet moment.

Shopping till we drop!

Oh, the shopping, dear friends, the shopping! Youā€™d simply be delighted to know I discovered an enchanting boutique with the most elegant pink tulle! Iā€™m talking delicate ruffles, exquisite lace, and the softest shades of rose and blush imaginable!

But more importantly, the boutique reminded me of what's truly important: embracing your own style and finding joy in the things that make you feel your absolute best. And darling, I just couldnā€™t resist getting myself a new pink tulle dress! A true symbol of Prague, you know, elegant, joyful, and utterly captivating!

And the best news of all? My ballet performance helped me pay for it. This journey, my dear friends, it's been more than just exploring Prague. It's been about embracing my passions and chasing my dreams, one twirl at a time!

A Pink Tutu Tip!

When exploring the magnificent streets of Prague, donā€™t forget your pink tutu and a touch of sparkle. You just never know, my darlings, when you'll have a chance to twirl and enjoy the enchantment of the city!

Stay tuned next week for all the fun and fabulous things happening in Vienna. Until then, have a wonderful time twirling your worries away. Oh, and if you find yourself in Prague, donā€™t forget to look up to the sky - the heavens above Prague are always adorned with clouds of pink and tulle!

Stay graceful and twirl on, darlings!

Love, Emma www.pink-tutu.com
