Pink Tutu Prague - Post 491

Hello lovelies!

It's Wednesday again, and you know what that means… cue the dramatic music It's time for another Pink Tutu Prague post! I'm so excited to share my latest adventures with you all. This week, I've been totally immersed in Prague's vibrant culture, indulging in some truly magical ballet experiences and, of course, discovering some gorgeous pink treasures along the way.

But first, a quick recap: Last week, I bid a fond farewell to the enchanting Vienna, its beautiful buildings and waltzing delights leaving me utterly spellbound. Now, I’m tucked up in a charming little hotel right in the heart of Prague. This city is like a fairy tale, a symphony of stunning architecture and cobblestone streets. And let's not forget the pastries! Oh, the pastries… But more about those later.

Now, you all know how much I love a good train journey. So imagine my absolute joy at boarding the Vienna to Prague express train. I'm talking velvet seats, windows offering breathtaking views, and a sense of romantic adventure that’s just perfect for a tutu-clad traveller. I couldn't resist putting on my new blush-pink ballet skirt with the delicate tulle ruffles - oh, it just felt so fitting! As the train snaked its way through the Austrian countryside, I found myself feeling utterly at peace, my tutu swaying in rhythm with the passing scenery. It was like I was starring in my own ballet film, a montage of elegant travelling and blissful reverie.

Reaching Prague was like stepping into a picture postcard, everything bathed in a soft golden light that seemed to highlight the pastel hues of the old buildings. A magical blend of ancient and modern, this city captured my heart almost instantly. And it wasn't just the stunning sights, though those were certainly captivating, it was the atmosphere - a gentle hum of creativity and artistry that seemed to pulse through every street corner. Prague, my darlings, is an artist's dream!

After a delicious meal at a traditional Czech restaurant - let me tell you, the dumplings were a revelation - I wasted no time in putting my ballet shoes back on and heading for the charming National Theatre. This beautiful building is a true icon, a symbol of Czech culture and national pride. It’s like stepping back in time, every inch of it imbued with stories of great artistry and passionate performance.

The theatre's ballet season is a thing of wonder. On this particular night, September 22nd, the National Theatre showcased a dazzling rendition of Sleeping Beauty. I don’t think I've ever seen such flawless choreography, and the dancers' movements were absolutely mesmerising! The stage design was absolutely breathtaking, like stepping into a fairytale with its enchanted forest scenes and magical settings. And, of course, there was a delightful sprinkling of tulle, twirls, and elegance to add to the overall enchantment. I was absolutely swept away by the beauty and passion of the performance.

Speaking of enchanting, the whole evening just radiated pink hues. From the delicate ballet slippers to the ornate décor of the theatre, even the sweet blush pink blush that I'd found on a charming market stall during my afternoon exploring! Everywhere I looked, there was an enchanting pink element adding a touch of whimsy and beauty to Prague's atmosphere.

Speaking of my explorations… let me tell you about the city’s charm. Walking through the heart of Prague is like walking through an open-air museum. You’ve got cobbled streets lined with stunning medieval buildings, with those pastel coloured houses that almost melt into the skyline. It was like stepping into a historical film. I felt like I’d travelled back in time, surrounded by Gothic and Baroque architectural wonders. And to top it all off, I spotted a little cafe with the cutest pastel pink sign – couldn’t resist grabbing a coffee and a delicious pastry!

You’ve got to see Prague for yourselves, my darlings. It’s a city where the magic comes alive. The streets are alive with performers, artists, and musicians who add a captivating layer to the atmosphere. It’s a place to discover hidden alleyways and romantic squares. Prague is a city that embraces creativity and beauty in all its forms, which made it an ideal location for a Pink Tutu blog post!

Oh, and let me tell you about the shopping. Prague has some of the most charming and unique boutique stores I've ever come across! It's the perfect city for a tutu enthusiast like myself to unleash their inner shopper. I discovered a tiny hidden shop that specialized in the most exquisite handmade tutu’s – the ones with the fluffy, billowing skirts that really capture a ballet girl's heart. I found a stunning pink tulle tutu with delicate sequin details – it's practically a dream!

It’s also where I picked up the gorgeous blush pink blush I was telling you about. The lovely shop assistant told me it was from a local, artisan company – which is just up my street when it comes to shopping. It’s not just buying clothes, it’s discovering little treasures!

Oh, and one of the biggest things for me is always trying the local delights when I travel, and the traditional Czech cuisine did not disappoint. The restaurant I went to was filled with the most delicious smells of baked goods, steaming hot dumplings and sweet pastries - pure magic!

Prague, you’ve captured my heart. But my journey’s not over just yet! Stay tuned for more Prague adventures. I promise next week's post is gonna be just as full of pinkness, fashion and of course, tutus. And maybe even a spot of horse riding! You never know with this Pink Tutu!
