Prague - A Ballerina's Paradise! 🩰💖 (Blog Post #499)

Hello lovelies!

It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for another dose of pink tutu-infused travel inspiration, this time straight from the magical streets of Prague!

Remember that little dream I had of waltzing across cobbled squares in a twirly pink tutu, my hair blowing in the wind? Well, darling, it's coming true!

I landed in Prague just last week, my suitcase bursting with a riot of pink outfits, and I’m already completely smitten!

This city is like a storybook, a beautiful mix of fairytale architecture, charming cobbled streets, and a delicious sprinkle of history. I can't wait to explore every nook and cranny, even if I have to pirouette around every corner!

Ballet in Prague:

As you all know, my heart beats for the ballet, so Prague's thriving dance scene had me practically pirouetting with excitement. And guess what? There's a fabulous ballet performance at the National Theatre tonight!

It's "Giselle" – one of my all-time favourite stories about love, betrayal, and of course, the beauty of dance. It's an incredible ballet about a young peasant girl who falls in love with a nobleman disguised as a peasant, and then, oh my, the plot thickens! I simply can't wait to see the exquisite choreography and the breathtaking costumes.

Did you know, Prague has an incredibly rich ballet history? There's a whole magical ballet world here waiting to be explored!

This city even has its very own legendary ballet school, the Prague Conservatory . The legendary Czech ballerina, Natalia Makarova, graced its halls with her grace, and you just know that an array of beautiful ballerinas and danseur-boys are busy perfecting their plies and fouettés in this prestigious institution. It's just the kind of place that inspires a tutu twirl or two.

Shopping in Prague:

So you think you've found the most charming vintage clothing stores in Europe? You haven't seen anything until you’ve stumbled upon Prague's treasure trove of boutiques!

Imagine my excitement when I discovered "Dresscode Boutique", tucked away on a cobblestone street. They've got these divine dresses that would look fantastic on stage and on the streets of Prague. My latest acquisition is a gorgeous floral silk dress that has already been twirled around the Old Town Square and will be the centrepiece of my upcoming ballet recital, (and my Instagram posts, naturally!).

Speaking of Instagram, don't forget to follow my pink tutu adventures on my Instagram account: @EmmaPinkTutu! There’s an explosion of Prague pictures to be seen there!

I’ve got my eye on a charming handmade leather tote that'll carry all my pink tutu essentials. Plus, I'm hunting down the perfect crystal tiara to top off my tutu look. Just you wait!

A Pony and a Pink Tutu?

As I mentioned before, my dream of waltzing across cobblestone streets in my pink tutu is well underway. My next adventure in Prague includes a pony ride through the enchanting Petřín Hill. Yes, you read that right!

Think "Pride and Prejudice" but with a tutu, because nothing screams fairytale Prague quite like riding a horse (or rather, a pony in my case!) past beautiful parks and panoramic views. And yes, you bet I'm going to be in my most whimsical pink tutu for the occasion!

I’ve always dreamed of galloping off into the sunset on horseback, and let's be honest, Prague's Petřín Hill makes the perfect setting for such a romantic fantasy. You'll just have to see it to believe it! (Just a little hint, follow my pink tutu story on Instagram - the pictures will be magnificent, I'm sure!).

Food for Thought:

Prague has this divine cafe scene, and believe me, darling, there are so many gorgeous cakes in this city it's unreal. I'm trying to keep my cake consumption under control so my ballet legs stay toned (I'll be practicing the arabesques and pirouettes a little more!), but the tempting pastries are nearly impossible to resist!

My recent discovery? A tiny café tucked away behind the Old Town Square. I don't remember the name, but the aroma of cinnamon buns drew me in. I tried one of the cinnamon swirls, (okay, two!) and it was absolute heaven!

I'm definitely on the lookout for other decadent delights and cute coffee shops. You'll be seeing the pics and reviews on my website www.pink-tutu.com, of course!

Pink Tutu Prague:

The world is my dance floor and my pink tutus have travelled across so many different countries! I’m already thinking about where my pink tutus will take me next! I’ve got a hunch there will be more magical ballet adventures ahead – maybe Vienna, perhaps Venice or Budapest. Stay tuned to hear about all the fun I’ll be having on my pink tutu journey.

Remember, everyone can wear a pink tutu.

Love,

Emma
