Pink Tutu Prague - Post 525: Ballet Bliss and Bohemian Dreams

Wednesday, 18th May 2005

Hello my darling tutu twirlers! It’s Emma here, reporting live from the magical city of Prague! Yes, that’s right, your favourite pink tutu-clad ballerina is finally in the Czech Republic! I’ve always dreamed of coming here – the history, the architecture, the fairytale castles... not to mention the absolutely stunning ballet scene!

I travelled here by train, of course! What's a tutu-wearing traveller without a grand journey by rail? I was absolutely captivated by the changing landscapes - lush green countryside one minute, sprawling cities the next, and always, always, those beautiful castles on hillsides!

When I arrived in Prague, I was utterly enchanted! This city is simply breathtaking - think cobblestone streets, ancient bridges, charming cafes and that stunning, fairytale Prague Castle perched atop a hill. Honestly, I could barely believe my eyes! I practically twirled myself into a frenzy just admiring the view!

My first stop was, of course, the ballet scene! Prague boasts a rich history of ballet, and I couldn’t wait to soak up all the glamour and artistry. On Wednesday, the 18th of May, I went to the [insert a local ballet company/venue] and it was absolutely exquisite! The show was [name a specific show if you can]. Oh my goodness, the costumes, the music, the movements… it was simply divine! The graceful dancers floated across the stage like ethereal beings, each pirouette a beautiful whisper of elegance. I felt my toes tingling and my heart soaring! I can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be surrounded by such beautiful artistry!

The ballet scene here isn’t the only thing captivating me – Prague itself is simply a feast for the senses! The food is delectable - delicious, rich stews, decadent pastries and fragrant coffee... all enjoyed at charming outdoor cafes with cobblestone floors. Honestly, it feels like something out of a storybook!

My favourite thing about Prague, however, has to be the fashion scene! Oh my darling twirlers, the vintage clothing here is to die for! I’ve found a little boutique nestled away in a hidden alley that is filled to the brim with absolutely divine gowns, beautiful boleros and vintage hats - oh, and you wouldn’t believe the amount of lovely ballet shoes they have! They’re almost as amazing as my own, almost. And, my absolute favourite? A beautiful silk pink scarf, just the perfect shade of flamingo pink! It practically screamed ā€œpink tutu!ā€ - It’s going to be a showstopper for sure!

I even took a little pony ride through the old town yesterday, yes, a pony! What better way to get a feel for Prague than on horseback! It felt like something out of a Jane Austen novel. As I rode along, my pink tutu fluttering in the breeze, I felt like a princess in a fairy tale, or maybe a glamorous ballerina in a period drama! It’s moments like this that remind me why I love travelling so much. It’s not just about the places, it’s about the feeling, the experiences that fill your heart and mind with beautiful memories.

I'll be exploring the Prague ballet scene all week - attending classes, chatting to the dancers and seeing some amazing performances, of course! This city has definitely stolen my heart - it’s so full of history, art, beauty and a sense of magical enchantment. And who knows, maybe this journey will even inspire a new pink tutu for me!

I’ll be sure to keep you updated on all my pink-tutu adventures in Prague!

Until next Wednesday, twirl on, Emma xx
