Pink Tutu Prague: Post #538 - The Magic of the City of a Hundred Spires

Bonjour mes amis! Emma here, reporting live from the magical city of Prague! It's Wednesday, the 17th of August, 2005, and the sun is shining brightly over this breathtaking city, reflecting off the spires that peek out from every corner, giving it its moniker as the 'City of a Hundred Spires'. I've already had the most wonderful time, experiencing the Bohemian spirit of Prague through its cobbled streets, its charming cafes, and of course, its stunning ballet!

My Pink Tutu Journey Beginsโ€ฆ by Train!

I'm a firm believer that travel is an adventure, and no adventure is complete without a dash of romance, right? Therefore, my journey from Derbyshire, England to this enchanting city had to be by train. Oh, the sheer joy of a leisurely journey through the heart of Europe, enjoying the countryside whizzing past, sipping on a latte, and soaking up the atmosphere! I chose a pink cashmere jumper with my most fetching floral tutu - it was absolutely essential that I remain perfectly chic during my voyage!

Prague, I'm Home!

Arriving in Prague, I was greeted with an air of vibrancy, almost like the city itself was holding its breath, waiting to reveal its wonders. As my taxi trundled through the city, I was in awe of the ancient buildings with their fairytale charm. You just can't help but be charmed by their ornate facades and romantic history, especially when you're sporting a bright pink tulle masterpiece!

My Favourite Things:

Prague has become a firm favourite of mine for a variety of reasons! From its charming little cafes that serve up decadent coffee and delicious pastries to its bustling streets filled with vibrant life, I just adore the sense of old-world romance that permeates every corner of the city. I have a newfound love for local Czech beer - I had to try it, didn't I? And, honestly, it was just lovely. Not too bitter, lovely and smooth, a proper little treat after a long day of exploring!

A Pink Tutu Fashion Guide for Prague:

Of course, no journey to Prague is complete without a proper pink tutu shopping spree! I just have to share my favourite finds from the city's hidden boutiques and charming independent shops. Firstly, I was delighted to find a darling vintage lace dress that perfectly complements my "Oh My! Paris" tutu from my collection. The lace, such intricate details - it is a dream for my wardrobe!

Later on, I treated myself to a beautiful, pink, Czech glass pendant, inspired by the intricate architectural detail of the city's landmarks. The colour just matches my favourite pink feather boa beautifully, and now I am a proud owner of a stunning bohemian pink accessory. Of course, my pink ballet slippers are my trusty companions as I explore these incredible cobbled streets.

Dancing into the Evening: My Ballet Date!

But wait, there's more! Prague, apart from its fairytale charm, is a real gem for lovers of dance. I just had to see a performance at the beautiful National Theatre. And what an evening it was! The theatre itself is a wonder - a beautiful blend of historic charm and grandeur. Tonight, I saw a production of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake. The story was so captivating - the beautiful ballerina's swan movements, the music's haunting melodies... It all felt so magical and captivating, transporting me to a realm of elegance and graceful artistry.

Post-Ballet Dinner Delight: The Sweetest Treat in Prague!

Of course, after the performance, no visit to Prague is complete without indulging in some delicious, authentic Czech cuisine! I discovered a cozy little restaurant called "U Medvidku". A very old and traditional place in Prague's heart, this hidden treasure offers delicious goulash with the most divine homemade bread.

I enjoyed the authentic flavours and aromas, especially alongside my glass of delicious local wine. What a truly decadent way to end a perfect evening!

A Horseback Adventure in the Morning: My Dream Comes True!

Did you know Prague has a beautiful network of pony trails? Well, let me tell you - it is pure magic! In the heart of the city, I discovered a place called "Pony Paradise", a real gem! I rented a handsome chestnut horse named 'Lucky', who was an absolute gentleman. He gracefully followed my lead through Prague's picturesque trails and quiet streets. It was simply dreamy!

A Day Filled with Artistic Inspiration

This Wednesday is a day filled with creativity, discovery, and magic. Every step of this journey, from my early morning pony ride, through exploring hidden alleys to enjoying delicious goulash at "U Medvidku", has truly been delightful! I even met the cutest little terrier dressed in a pink bow at one of Prague's charming cafes โ€“ he's so full of character!

Prague - A City of Spires, Swans, and Pink Tutus:

This enchanting city has captured my heart and made a lasting impression on me. The blend of art, history, and elegance has inspired me and made my heart dance a little faster. And there is truly no better place in the world for pink tutu-loving ballerina who enjoys art and exquisite style.

Prague, I'm in love with you and will certainly return for more enchanting experiences! Stay tuned for my next adventures โ€“ and let's keep spreading the love of pink tutus worldwide!

Love, Emma xx
