Prague: Where Ballerinas Bloom! 🌸🩰

Hello darlings! Welcome to Pink Tutu Prague, my weekly Wednesday blog post from this enchanting city. I’m Emma, your favourite pink-tutu-clad ballerina, and I’m so excited to share my latest adventures with you. This week’s blog marks Post 547, and let me tell you, it’s a doozy!

My love for Prague is blooming like a fragrant rose garden. There’s something so romantic and magical about this city – it’s like stepping into a fairytale! And trust me, my darling tutu-loving friends, you simply cannot have a fairytale without the beautiful ballet.

#PinkTutuPrague – The Magic Begins! ✨

As soon as my train pulled into Prague's station, I was swept away by the fairytale vibe. Cobbled streets lined with charming cafes, intricate bridges shimmering over the Vltava River, and vibrant markets overflowing with fragrant blooms… it was a scene right out of a ballet set. I could already feel my tutu twirling in excitement!

First stop, my favourite past time – shopping! Prague's vintage boutiques were simply divine. Imagine, darlings, silks, velvet, and sequins, enough to make any tutu twirl with glee! I snagged a darling pair of rose-coloured ballet slippers that I can't wait to wear for my evening performance. You'll have to check out my Insta for a sneak peek!

A Little Bit of History: Prague's Ballerina Charm ✨

You wouldn't believe how rich the ballet history of Prague is, darlings. The Czech National Theatre is like a sacred ballerina sanctuary! It's where they first introduced ballet in the Czech Republic – and oh, the stories they have! Back in the 19th century, Czech ballerinas were famous for their elegance and artistry. It's truly inspiring to be walking in the footsteps of such amazing women.

The Pink Tutu Performs! 🩰💖

As the sun began to set, casting a rosy glow over the city, I prepared for my ballet performance. The theatre lights sparkled like a thousand stars, and the atmosphere was electric with anticipation. My pink tutu felt extra special tonight, as I took to the stage and danced for a crowd of excited fans. I’ve always been fortunate to fund my travel adventures by sharing the magic of ballet, and Prague embraced me with open arms.

After the performance, I was swept away by a group of enthusiastic Czech fans who even treated me to a delicious Czech traditional dessert, trdelník. I felt a little bit like Cinderella – a little ballerina escaping a fairytale and embracing real life!

My Perfect Prague Evening: Music, Dancing, and Dreams 💖

The evening just kept getting better. My love for exploring historical buildings brought me to the breathtaking Municipal House. It's an absolute stunner, darlings, and as luck would have it, the Dvorák Hall was hosting a concert! Oh, to be swept away by classical melodies in a venue steeped in such elegance. And wouldn't you know it, I even got a chance to chat with a local music scholar, who filled me in on some incredible facts about Czech music history. He even shared with me some interesting stories about how tutu style has been inspired by ballet in Prague – you can thank your tutu for Czech ballerinas in their grand days of tutus, darlings!

The day ended on a sweet note with a cup of steaming hot cocoa at a cosy cafe. Prague was whispering promises of new adventures, and I was eager to explore every single cobblestone street, every charming nook and cranny.
