Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet, Shopping and the Pinkest City Ever! (Post #555)

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing blogger, Emma, back from the magical city of Prague! 🩰✨ I've been waltzing through the cobblestone streets, taking in the stunning architecture and soaking up the artistic vibes - and let me tell you, Prague is everything I imagined and more! This city is like a dream straight out of a ballet, with its picturesque squares, winding alleys, and fairy-tale bridges.

It’s Wednesday again so here's my weekly post from Prague!

This week's adventures were inspired by one of my all-time favourite subjects: ballet! Now, you know I adore a good tutu and ballet class, but what I really love is seeing ballet history come alive, especially when it involves breathtaking architecture! And that's exactly what we had here in Prague, dear readers!

We arrived in Prague by train (because what else can a ballerina take but her best pink ballet bag with the prettiest silk lining? No need for a heavy suitcase!), and immediately started planning our ballet explorations. We kicked things off by seeing the National Theatre's magical performance of La Bayadère, the iconic Indian love story! 😍 The costumes were absolutely spectacular, and I couldn't help but get swept away by the intricate choreography and the passionate storytelling. It truly transported me to another world!

But this week, I wasn't just content to sit and watch - no, darling! Prague called for action! So after the show, we decided to waltz our way into the National Theatre’s building, and it was stunningly beautiful, filled with history, the grandeur was beyond words. I could practically feel the footsteps of dancers from centuries past and it’s something I’ve been longing to do for so long – seeing all of those iconic ballets performed in theatres that hold so much history within their walls!

Prague's Ballerina Secret:

As a ballet enthusiast, one thing I simply couldn't miss was a peek inside Prague's famous Dance Conservatory, a magnificent building that had been used for education and performing arts for decades and a ballet school, naturally, that had produced some of the best dancers! I snuck in for a private tour – shhhh! It’s still on my to-do list to officially request a tour but I couldn’t resist peaking into a class in action through one of the glass doors! Imagine the concentration, dedication and sheer artistry swirling inside! I nearly went into pirouette-overload from just a quick glimpse! 🩰

Fashion Fun!

But, what’s a ballet trip without some tutu-tastic shopping? Prague absolutely delivered! From its historic shops lining the Old Town Square to its trendy boutiques, I was on a shopping spree adventure in paradise! There were the most beautiful little independent stores full of stunning fabrics, lace and tulle for all kinds of gorgeous tulle tutu creations. And who knows what inspiration it might bring to me – perhaps a whole new line for the “Pink Tutu” brand? (Ooh, you'll be hearing more about that later... 😉).

Of course, I couldn't resist snapping a few photos of my adventures, with my new “Pink Tutu Prague” tutu, that is! 🎀 This beauty was a gift from a dear friend who bought it especially for this trip and is now a reminder of my travels around Prague and of course, because this week, I couldn't have been without a tutu – no, darling, that just wouldn't do!

Ballet, Shopping and Pink in Prague:

It was so nice to explore the beautiful historical side of Prague while seeing the wonderful performances at the National Theatre and the history of ballet! Prague has to be one of the prettiest and most pink cities I've visited yet, and that's why it makes it into my "Must Visit" for every aspiring ballerina with a sense of fun and passion for pretty, pastel, tutus!

Don’t forget, you can see the newest photos of Prague in our Gallery and follow me on Instagram! Until next week, darlings!

Lots of Love,
