Prague: Pink Tutu Adventures! (Post #570)
Hello, darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-clad adventurer, and this week I'm whisking you all away to the magical city of Prague!
This Wednesday's post is bursting with Bohemian vibes, beautiful buildings, and, of course, all things ballet! Let me tell you, Prague is an absolute dream for a tutu-loving girl like me.
I arrived last night after a truly delightful journey by train. The scenery whizzing past the window was positively enchanting, and I felt like a princess in my own fairytale. The journey was punctuated with much excitement: I indulged in delicious cake at a quaint café, caught a glimpse of a magnificent castle nestled amongst rolling hills, and even struck up a conversation with a lovely old gentleman who told me fascinating tales of Czech history. He even taught me a few phrases in Czech, which I intend to try out at the local market later!
Prague itself is like stepping into a fairytale. Imagine cobblestone streets lined with colourful buildings, grand squares bustling with life, and hidden courtyards filled with the sweet scent of blooming wisteria. It's absolutely dreamy. And what better way to explore a city so rich in history and beauty than by twirling through its enchanting streets in my beloved pink tutu?
Today's itinerary is a ballet-themed bonanza!
First things first: a little ballet shopping in the heart of Old Town Prague. I stumbled upon a quaint shop nestled in a cobblestoned alley, filled with gorgeous costumes and dancing shoes. My fingers tingled with excitement as I ran my hand over shimmering velvet tutus, hand-stitched leotards, and perfectly pointed satin slippers. You'd think a little shop in Prague would lack some of the finer items, but no! I must admit, a tiny, pink tutu was practically calling my name, so of course, I couldn't resist!
The best part about Prague, though, is that the city itself seems to embrace the elegance and beauty of ballet. The majestic Prague National Theatre is simply stunning, and the historic building is bursting with history and artistry. It was actually founded in the late 18th century! Can you believe it?!
Tonight, the stars of the National Ballet will be showcasing their skills in a dazzling performance of Giselle. I’m absolutely bursting with excitement – the energy here is infectious, and the air is thick with the magic of ballet. I even spotted some incredible dancers on their way to rehearsals! I feel like I'm stepping into the pages of a romantic novel, and you know me, my dears, there’s no better place for a pink tutu-clad girl than in a world full of graceful movements and elegant artistry.
You'll be pleased to know, darling readers, that my very own Pink Tutu Adventures vlog will be showcasing all of my exciting Prague escapades. You can watch my next vlog on Friday afternoon - a delightful trip into the heart of Old Town, full of beautiful Prague sights and maybe even a glimpse of a charming local artist at work!
As always, you can find the vlog on my website, www.pink-tutu.com - just click the "pink tutu adventures" tab.
Until next week, remember: always twirl, always shine, and keep a little bit of pink tutu magic in your life!
P.S. My next ballet adventure? Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. I'll be posting photos of this masterpiece for next week’s blog.
Love, Emma
