Pink Tutu Prague - Post 666! 🩰💖✨

Hello darlings! It's your favourite pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, Emma, here, reporting live from the utterly magical city of Prague! I just had to tell you all about my whirlwind adventure here - a week of dancing, discovering, and indulging in all things pretty and pink! ✨

This week's blog is all about my love for the elegant art of ballet, which brought me to Prague in the first place! 🩰 I landed on Wednesday, my travel day being absolutely fabulous - I travelled in style, taking a grand old train journey across the countryside. Now, don't think I didn't make a grand entrance, naturally I travelled in my favourite pink tutu - it always makes train journeys feel a little bit more special, and everyone smiles at the sight of it!

After arriving, I decided to explore Prague’s beautiful streets on the back of a majestic, gentle pony, his coat a shade of midnight blue. Such a romantic way to experience this captivating city. Prague truly is a vision - cobblestone streets lined with pastel-coloured buildings, graceful bridges over the Vltava River, and enchanting gardens hidden amongst the bustling streets. It's a city full of whispers of history, like a scene straight out of a fairy tale, just waiting for its next chapter to unfold! 💖

I quickly made my way to the National Theatre, its majestic facade promising an evening of sheer theatrical brilliance. Oh darling, the National Theatre is quite possibly one of the most breathtaking theatres I've ever seen - with intricate architectural details, breathtaking sculptures, and even a rather dapper collection of swans gracing the lake in the heart of the building. And let me tell you, the atmosphere is absolutely electrifying - I just felt such an energy pulsating in the air, like the theatre was waiting for the magic of a show to commence!

The programme for today was The Nutcracker - a quintessential ballet classic - and I simply adored it. The story is just so magical and enchanting, perfect for a family outing, wouldn’t you agree? From the beautiful costumes, the sheer talent of the dancers, the soaring music, and even the charmingly clumsy rat king - oh darling, it was truly delightful!

But, it wasn’t just the performances that left me mesmerised. This week's adventures also included an exploration of Prague's extraordinary museums - specifically the Prague Castle! Did you know, darling, Prague Castle holds the record for being the largest ancient castle in the world? Quite mind-boggling, isn't it? Not only that, the Castle is adorned with historical treasures and architectural wonders, including stunning gothic cathedrals, royal palaces, and quaint courtyards. Each step is a discovery - imagine my joy when I discovered the incredible collection of tapestries at St. George's Basilica! My goodness, such intricate detail! I swear, those tapestry makers must have had magical needlework skills. It is clear this city holds an undeniable beauty that simply has to be experienced.

And of course, no trip to Prague is complete without some indulgent shopping! The Old Town Square is simply irresistible - with boutiques offering up everything from charming trinkets to stunning Czech crystal, and everything in-between. I especially adore the old-fashioned vintage boutiques, bursting with bohemian charm, and a myriad of styles and fabrics.

Speaking of boutiques, darling, I just had to take you on a tour of my favourite Prague fashion spots, from vintage havens to designer delights! Let’s see - where do I even start? First, darling, let me tell you all about Naf Naf, just opposite the majestic National Theatre! They stock the chicest, trendiest outfits in town - it’s my personal haven for the perfect Parisian look! I mean, it’s not every day you come across an affordable haven like that! I even managed to pick up a blush-coloured dress - perfect for a romantic walk along the Charles Bridge! 💖

Now, for the truly extraordinary - I absolutely adored the unique bohemian flair of BlahBlah Prague. It is such a unique gem, a vintage fashion lover’s paradise. I absolutely fell in love with a pale pink chiffon dress - utterly perfect for my next Parisian Ballet performance. It reminded me so much of the vintage designs by the likes of the exquisite Coco Chanel - chic, timeless, and oh so beautifully feminine! And, of course, you can't forget the amazing hand-stitched, quirky bags - I snapped up a unique little satchel that's a perfect blend of vintage and chic - simply darling! 💖

Let's not forget about Vintage Concept! Their pieces are one-of-a-kind treasures. I couldn't resist adding to my vintage ballet wardrobe. You won’t believe this, I snagged the most divine vintage tutu. I swear, darling, it's pure vintage glamour. I just knew it had to come home with me!

My travels also included a charming afternoon tea at The Duchess. The cafe is like stepping back in time, surrounded by exquisite chandeliers, plush velvet seating, and delicate china teacups. The service was charming, and I enjoyed a dainty spread of delicious treats, from delicate cakes to finger sandwiches, and delicate finger sandwiches - all served on the most beautiful vintage plates. This whole afternoon tea was a beautiful ode to a classic tea room - perfect for a girly get-together with the girls!

So darling, there you have it - my first exciting week in Prague! I just cannot wait for you to see what's next! This little gem has won me over completely - I'm completely charmed by Prague, it truly is the city that whispers beauty! 💖 Next week I will be diving into the world of vintage ballet dresses, sharing my knowledge on tutus and ballet outfits from a historical perspective. But before we get to that, don't forget to share your thoughts with me in the comments section! Did you have a favourite ballet moment in this week's post? What is your favourite fashion pick? Remember darlings, the pink-tutu world awaits - let's make the world a more beautiful, pink-tutu-filled place together! And now, I'll leave you with a gentle reminder: pink is indeed, the colour of happiness - never be afraid to wear your pink tutu! 😉

See you next Wednesday darlings!
