#PinkTutuPrague Ballet in Prague 2008-09-17

Hello lovelies! It’s Wednesday again, which means it's time for another delightful dose of Pink-Tutu from yours truly, Emma, your fashion-forward, tutu-loving, ballerina-obsessed guide to all things pink and pretty!

This week I'm whisking you off to Prague, a city that’s simply bursting with fairytale charm! I’ve always had a soft spot for this Czech capital – all those majestic bridges, cobblestone streets, and jaw-dropping architecture! Not to mention the beautiful ballet companies and theaters, oh my! I’m a true ballerina at heart, you see, and nothing gets my tutu twirling faster than a fantastic performance.

As I sit here in my perfectly pink hotel room overlooking the Vltava river, sipping my strawberry lemonade (naturally!) and gazing at the setting sun painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange and purple, I’m brimming with excitement about sharing my adventures with you all.

This week has been nothing short of sensational! From taking a charming pony ride through the Prague Old Town to exploring hidden corners in the heart of the city, every minute has been a fairytale in itself!

But enough about the charming scenery! It’s time to delve into the real reason I’m here: the Pink-Tutu ballet experience, of course!

As a devoted ballerina and tutu-wearing enthusiast, Prague is an absolute dream. Not only does it boast a rich cultural scene teeming with ballet companies and theaters, but it’s also overflowing with breathtaking venues where I can strut my stuff.

This week, I had the absolute pleasure of catching the Czech National Ballet performing at the stunning National Theatre. The grand foyer was magnificent – it felt like a royal ballroom straight out of a princess fairytale, and it’s where I decided I simply HAD to do a few pink-tutu twirls!

The ballet, Sleeping Beauty, was nothing short of captivating. The delicate choreography, the graceful dancers, and the breathtaking music – it truly was a magical performance! Even I, with all my dance training, felt transported to a different realm as I sat in awe.

After indulging in some of Prague's famous cherry cake (a little cheat day, darling! We're only human!), I decided it was high time for a spot of shopping.

Now, let's just say that the Parisian-inspired streets of Prague were positively perfect for finding a few treasures to take back with me! My Pink-Tutu wardrobe wouldn't be complete without some new pink frills, darling, and Prague definitely didn't disappoint.

My top find: A gorgeous, pale pink chiffon skirt that twirls like a dream. I knew as soon as I saw it, it was meant to be - just like that lovely little porcelain teacup I picked up earlier. Both are destined to be stars of my wardrobe, trust me!

It wouldn’t be a true Pink-Tutu travel blog without a little mention of how I got to Prague, darling! My absolute favourite way to explore a new country is by train. There’s something utterly magical about rolling through landscapes and gazing at the world fly past. I find it much more serene and charming than cramped planes. And when it comes to finding inspiration, train journeys never disappoint. I must say, my inspiration on this train ride certainly led me to some interesting tutu styles I can't wait to share!

You might find me sketching furiously at my little table on a long train journey. After all, nothing says "chic" like jotting down ideas on a piece of parchment whilst enjoying a steaming mug of English Breakfast tea (you’ve got to have that home comfort!)

Speaking of travel, have I mentioned that I absolutely adore travelling on a horse? I have such fun galloping across rolling green meadows on my trusted steed – my steed even wears a tiny pink tutu. It adds a je ne sais quoi to our countryside outings, if you know what I mean. Don't be surprised if one day I show up to one of my ballet performances riding my magnificent pony in my pinkest, most voluminous tutu. After all, who said ballerinas can’t have a little adventure, right?

Every week I get excited about what new places and inspiring ballet adventures await me on my travels. It's truly fulfilling to spread my love for tutus, ballet, and all things pretty around the world. This week, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a lovely group of ladies who all adore dancing. We even had a Pink-Tutu photoshoot in the park! Talk about making memories!

I'm a firm believer that everyone should be able to express themselves through fashion and embrace their inner ballerina, regardless of age or skill level. After all, what’s more magical than twirling around in a pink tutu, radiating joy and confidence? Who knows, you might even inspire your friends to do the same.
