Prague Dreams: Post #741 - A Pink Tutu Paradise! 🩰💕

Hey my lovely tutu twirlers! 👋 It's Emma, and as you know, Wednesday means a new Pink Tutu Prague adventure on www.pink-tutu.com! This week, I'm positively giddy with excitement, because I'm diving headfirst into the Czech Republic's fabulous capital, Prague!

Think cobblestone streets, impossibly charming bridges, and breathtaking architecture… Oh, and did I mention the stunning National Theatre? This week's blog is dedicated to sharing all the pink tutu goodness that Prague has to offer!

As always, I travelled in style. This time, the train journey to Prague was a dream - picture a vintage carriage with plush velvet seats, windows offering views of rolling hills and sleepy villages. It felt like a fairy tale, honestly. Of course, I couldn’t resist wearing my favourite pink tutu for the journey - you wouldn’t believe the smiles and waves I got from the locals! 💖

* Prague Ballet - National Theatre - A Cultural Delight*

Arriving in Prague felt like stepping into a beautifully painted picture book. I checked into a boutique hotel with stunning chandeliers, a floral print wallpaper in shades of pink (of course!) and even a miniature ballerina figurine on the dresser!

The real reason for my trip was the ballet, and tonight, I’m at the grand National Theatre for an absolutely stunning performance of Swan Lake.

Now, I’m not a ballet historian (yet! 😉 ), but I do know Swan Lake is like a ballet classic, so imagine my thrilled-beyond-belief expression when the music started and those ballerinas twirled into action! The entire theatre held its breath - even the audience’s fluttering whispers seemed muffled by the pure artistry of the performance.

I must tell you, the National Theatre is utterly magnificent. It’s like something from an old Hollywood film, and the decor was pure ballet beauty – with those glorious gilded ceilings and velvety crimson curtains. The sound of the orchestra filled the air, giving me goosebumps - what a fantastic experience!

* Fashion in Prague - Finding my Tutu Twin! *

Before the ballet performance, I’d had a delightful wander through Prague's cobblestone streets, popping in and out of quaint little boutiques.

I love discovering new, independent brands and Prague really has that special vintage, bohemian flair that’s so unique to the Czech Republic. The city's Old Town is a visual feast of stunning buildings - everything from gothic spires to baroque details. I particularly adored the medieval Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall Square. It was an impressive sight with the moving figures that emerged every hour!

Speaking of moving figures, Prague seemed to have a vibrant art scene too. One street I explored had a display of street art that completely transformed it. I felt like a real Parisian art wanderer - a very exciting and inspiring scene.

Of course, every good ballet lover has a weakness for a certain colour. Can you guess what it might be? Yes! The fabulous pink! I found a beautiful little boutique that felt like a fairytale tucked down an alley, and they had a pink lace tutu that almost called out my name! I knew it had to be mine! 💕

This tutu, darling, is simply gorgeous. It’s the colour of a blush on a summer evening - delicate, romantic, and so elegant. I can already see myself dancing in it under Prague's romantic skyline - I think it's going to become my favourite Prague memory, for sure!

* Prague Street Entertainment*

Prague’s beauty goes beyond stunning architecture and artistic beauty - it's in the charming atmosphere and the little delights you encounter along the way.

My favourite discovery was an unexpected street performance I saw by the river Vltava. This group was playing traditional Czech music, which sounded so warm and vibrant. I had a cup of hot chocolate from a nearby café and stood watching the musicians while the sun dappled the water – simply magic.

* Where the Tutu Takes Me*

So there you have it, my dear tutu twirlers, Prague in all its pink tutu glory! I'll be back with more adventures from the City of a Hundred Spires next Wednesday on www.pink-tutu.com, until then, keep your sparkle bright and don't forget to dance your way through life! 💖
