Pink Tutu Prague - Post Number 752!

Hello my darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another pinktastic update from yours truly! 🩰💖

This week I'm bringing you the delightful delights of Prague! A city steeped in history, beautiful architecture, and of course, incredible ballet! This magical city has certainly captivated my heart - and I'm here to tell you all about it.

You see, the life of a travelling tutu ballerina isn't all graceful leaps and swan lake spins - although there are definitely moments that fit that description! 😉 A lot of the time, I'm like a beautiful butterfly fluttering around the globe, exploring different corners of the world, searching for the best ballet performances, the prettiest tutus, and the most wonderful outfits! I'm driven by passion, by a desire to share my love for dance with the world, and to inspire everyone to embrace a little pink magic in their lives.

You might wonder how I finance my extraordinary journeys, well, darling, it's all about those beautiful twirls! I give enchanting performances in theatres and street corners alike - always, of course, adorned in the most fabulous tutus! Think pink feather boas, sequined ballet shoes, and a sprinkle of magical pixie dust. 😉

So, without further ado, let's hop onto the magic carpet - or rather, a vintage train, which I have to say, adds to the romantic air of the journey! - and whisk ourselves away to the cobbled streets and enchanting palaces of Prague.

Day One: Prague, We Meet!

Prague greeted me with open arms! Arriving at the enchanting station, I couldn't help but feel transported back in time. The architecture, a whimsical blend of Gothic and Baroque styles, just screamed "fairytale"! And imagine my delight when I discovered that this beautiful city actually has its own unique style of ballet, the "Prague ballet". It blends the classic elegance of French and Russian ballet with a captivating Bohemian flair, so I just knew my adventures here would be absolutely extraordinary!

My hotel, a grand affair, perfectly matched the regal charm of Prague - complete with a plush velvet chaise longue perfect for indulging in some delightful book reading before venturing out to explore this captivating city.

Now, it wouldn't be a proper Prague adventure without a delicious "Trdlo" pastry! Crispy, caramelised, and filled with divine whipped cream! What more could a tutu-clad girl ask for? They are definitely worth a detour – or six! I'm convinced that it's their magic that makes the Prague streets even more magical! 😉

As the day melted away like a raspberry sorbet on a summer's day, I took a gentle stroll across Charles Bridge - a picture-perfect place. It was here, under the warm sun and dappled light, that I found a wonderful, slightly vintage boutique brimming with the most gorgeous gowns and a sprinkle of charming tutus. My inner fashionista was beside herself with glee - finding that perfect, unique pink tutu was definitely on the agenda! After a day of exploration, I savoured the best chicken schnitzel I'd ever tasted! The food here, with its charming flavours and delicious textures, truly is a delight for the senses.

Day Two: Dancing on the Vltava

Today, Prague took on a truly romantic character. The Vltava River, with its sparkling water and picture-perfect bridges, looked almost out of a dream - an enchanted ballet scene waiting to happen! The Charles Bridge in particular had me captivated; imagine being a ballerina waltzing over the bridge in a whimsical tutu, with the graceful arch of the structure mimicking a ballet pose - just exquisite!

Later, I embraced Prague's creative soul with a visit to the whimsical, fairytale-like Vyšehrad Cemetery. Nestled in a peaceful spot overlooking the city, it's truly enchanting - a beautiful resting place for those who have danced through life, and an absolute must for anyone who wants to indulge in some peaceful reflection and take in the beauty of the city.

You won't believe this - in this lovely cemetery, I spotted the most magnificent pink cherry blossoms, just as if Mother Nature herself had decided to paint a little bit of ballet magic onto the scene! And the "Old Town Square" was just as magical! A fairytale setting in itself, with an ancient astronomical clock - the Astronomical Clock - telling stories of time with dancing figurines and mystical characters. It was quite spectacular! I couldn't resist a few photos in my favourite tutu – this city is a true paradise for a ballerina.

Day Three: A Night of Ballet Magic!

But of course, no visit to Prague would be complete without an evening at the opera. On this night, I witnessed a captivating performance of the most exquisite ballet - *“La Bohème”. * From the beautiful, flowing movements, to the dramatic story of love and heartbreak, it had me entranced from the moment the curtain rose! I’d say it’s one of the best ballet performances I’ve witnessed during my global adventures so far. The costumes and staging were stunning, and the music was absolutely captivating! This ballet production reminded me of the immense beauty and magic that dance can bring to our lives - truly an experience to cherish!

And that, my lovelies, concludes another extraordinary journey! Prague has truly charmed my socks off, as we say back in Derbyshire. And as I bid farewell to the charming cobblestone streets and romantic ambiance of this extraordinary city, I’m already plotting my next trip back.

So remember, my darlings: wear your tutus with pride and spread a little pink magic wherever you go! Keep following me and discover more pinktastic travel adventures!

Catch you next week! 💖

*Lots of love and twirls, *

Emma.
