Post Number 769: A Pink Tutu-tiful Prague Adventure!

Wednesday 20th January 2010

Hello darlings! Emma here, reporting live from the absolutely magical city of Prague! I’ve had the most incredible week exploring its charming streets, taking in the gorgeous architecture, and indulging in a smorgasbord of all things pink and pretty! This is post number 769 from www.pink-tutu.com, my little corner of the internet dedicated to sharing my ballet adventures, fabulous fashion finds, and the pure joy of wearing a pink tutu (yes, always in pink!).

As you know, I'm a bit of a train buff, and the journey from Derbyshire was pure bliss! I felt like I was in one of those grand old novels with the steamy carriages and the crisp air rushing through the windows. The views were stunning too - a blur of green hills and rolling fields – pure countryside enchantment! And yes, you guessed it – I donned my favourite pink tutu for the occasion, a vibrant tulle creation adorned with sparkling pink sequins, of course! It definitely turned heads on the platform, I'm sure of it!

Upon arriving in Prague, I was met with a dazzling display of fairy-tale architecture. It felt like I’d stepped into a real-life picture book, complete with spires and towers that reach for the heavens. And just look at those pastel colours! My pink tutu positively screamed against the backdrop of Prague's architectural beauty. I even snapped a photo outside the iconic Charles Bridge - I might just post it on my Instagram!

Of course, no visit to Prague is complete without a visit to the National Theatre. I am such a history buff, and learning about its glorious past was a treat. You know me - I’m all about the details, and they don't get more spectacular than this! The theatre’s interior was even more dazzling than I could have imagined! Ornate ceilings, glittering chandeliers, velvet-lined boxes, the whole shebang. Oh, the grandeur!

On Tuesday night, I witnessed the most captivating performance of Swan Lake. The choreography was absolutely breathtaking. I found myself mesmerised by the graceful movements of the dancers - pure artistry! As they glided across the stage in their immaculate tutus, I realised what a privilege it is to experience these works of art. Their performances truly are the embodiment of grace and power.

It wasn't all ballet, darling! Prague's streets are bursting with charm and a vibrant spirit. I’ve found a little shop called “Pink Poppy”, crammed full of pink clothing! You know I couldn’t resist a little shopping spree! I picked up the most beautiful vintage pink cardigan with a floral pattern and some perfectly pink ballet slippers – absolutely delightful! I plan on wearing them on Friday for the Ballet Ball, it will be fabulous!

The evenings in Prague are like stepping into a magical dream. As the city lights start twinkling and the sky is awash with pinks and oranges, you feel the romance of Prague wash over you. You can almost hear the whispering of history amongst the cobblestone streets. Oh, and the food! I tried some traditional Czech pastries – so decadent and delightful!

I’ve been absolutely loving this little city! The energy here is incredible!

Here’s a sneak peek into what’s on the agenda for the rest of my stay:

  • A special ballet class on Wednesday morning – just what I need to keep my limbs limber for Friday's Ballet Ball!
  • Shopping for more pink-tastic finds! The city is brimming with boutique fashion stores and charming trinket shops. Pink hats, scarves, handbags! It’s a veritable pink wonderland!
  • Thursday will be dedicated to more cultural exploration. I’m going to visit Prague Castle, soak up the atmosphere, maybe have a glass of champagne overlooking the beautiful city. And of course, more photo opportunities – I need some new pictures for the website.

Oh, and I hear they're having a fashion show on Friday night. Now, who knows – maybe my pink tutu will be making an appearance on the runway! I’ll keep you posted on the fashion extravaganza. I do love a good fashion show. It’s great for inspiration and for soaking up all those stylish trends! And if I do wear my pink tutu, it will be the pinkest tutu in the whole of Prague!

I promise to share all my fabulous discoveries with you, my dear readers!

I hope you're enjoying all my pink-tutu escapades from Prague! Until next week, keep on twirling!

Much love,

Emma xx
