Pink Tutu Prague: Ballet, Shopping, and a Pony Ride! (Post #810)

Hello, my darlings! It’s Wednesday again, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu adventure! This week, I'm whisked away to the magical city of Prague, the crown jewel of the Czech Republic. I must say, my dears, this place is truly captivating! From its charming cobblestone streets and whimsical architecture to the warmth of the people and the divine selection of cafes serving melt-in-your-mouth pastries, I’m already completely smitten.

This week, my trip was sponsored by the glorious, shimmering Prague Ballet company. The honour was entirely mine to perform alongside some of the most talented ballerinas in Europe for their annual gala, held in the grand Prague State Opera House. A beautiful theatre!

Ballet Glamour

The opera house itself was a sight to behold. Ornate ceilings, plush velvet seats, and an energy so electric you could almost feel the music. Oh, the music! The Prague Philharmonic, renowned for their passion and precision, played Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" with such beauty and grandeur.

But what truly brought my heart to life was the dance. The choreography was breathtaking, flowing with grace and emotion. It felt like the swans themselves were taking flight, their movements both delicate and powerful. Honestly, I almost cried, and I'm not one to tear up easily, not even during my favourite rendition of "Swan Lake" performed in the English National Ballet.

My role was a small, yet significant one. A soloist in the "Dance of the Little Swans" alongside other exquisite ballerinas from the company. After the curtain call, we were treated to champagne in the grand foyer with the entire cast, orchestra, and members of the audience. Such lovely people! A delightful ending to an absolutely phenomenal night!

Shopping, Fashion & Food!

Of course, what's a trip to Prague without some delightful shopping and indulgence? I simply couldn't resist the charm of Prague's vintage boutiques, brimming with fabulous fashion finds and one-of-a-kind treasures. And let's not forget the delicious Czech pastries - my goodness, those apple strudels!

My pink tutu certainly added some pizzazz to the Prague streets! Honestly, people just seemed delighted to see a bit of colour in their day. A gentleman even complimented my tutu! He thought it added some flair to the "classic" Prague look. I simply beamed, I felt like a true Bohemian ballerina!

Prague on a Pony

I confess, this is one of the highlights of the trip, my darlings. It was purely accidental. After lunch in one of Prague's adorable, secret courtyards (another place I'd strongly recommend exploring!), we went exploring further on foot. I noticed a charming stable tucked away amongst cobblestones, with the cutest miniature horses you ever did see!

They seemed to adore pink, just like me, and so we took a rather charming pony ride, which meandered through the cobblestone streets, past magnificent cathedrals and colourful medieval buildings. Honestly, it felt like stepping out of a fairy tale.

A Prague To Remember

Prague, you’ve already stolen a piece of my heart, dear city! It's a place where beauty meets history, and romance blooms at every corner. And don’t even get me started on the breathtaking view from Prague Castle, it felt like the entire city was spread out beneath me like a majestic, intricate tapestry woven by history.

I am most definitely already planning a return trip!
