Prague: A Pink Tutu Pilgrimage! (Post #833)

Hello my darlings!

It's Wednesday again, and you know what that means? It's time for another Pink Tutu adventure, and this week, I'm waltzing right into the heart of Prague! I've been yearning to visit this charming city for ages, and it's finally happening. I can already picture myself twirling through cobbled streets, gazing at fairytale architecture, and sipping delicious Czech beer while wearing, of course, the perfect pink tutu.

This week, I've been preparing for my Prague adventure, getting my pink wardrobe sorted (and there are many, many, tutus to pack!), and planning my ballet excursions. And speaking of which…

A Dance of History:

The reason for my trip to Prague is twofold. First, my dear friends, there's a breathtaking ballet performance at the National Theatre on April 13th. It's a celebration of the Swan Lake ballet and its legacy, featuring incredible dancers from around the world. This performance is going to be phenomenal, and I'm absolutely giddy with anticipation. I’ve already imagined the stage adorned with dazzling lights, the captivating melodies swirling through the air, and of course, the graceful dancers pirouetting in the most stunning costumes imaginable.

And second, the city itself holds a rich ballet history, from the early days of the Prague National Theatre Ballet in the late 19th century to the present-day vibrant dance scene. I’ve been researching, and I can’t wait to learn more about the dance legends who called this city home and uncover some fascinating tutu trivia along the way!

A Pink-tastic Wardrobe Journey

No trip to Prague would be complete without a delightful shopping spree. This time, I’m looking for an utterly charming, whimsical dress to complement my trusty pink tutu (perhaps a vintage frock with lace details and delicate floral embroidery) for the opening night gala. Oh, the sheer delight of trying on dresses amidst the picturesque Czech boutiques! And of course, no visit to Prague is complete without indulging in a piece of delectable local pastry and a cup of steaming, fragrant coffee.

Travels by Train & Pony

This week’s journey is an exciting one, because I’m making a new mode of transport to my repertoire! I'll be traveling from my lovely Derbyshire home to the Netherlands, catching a luxurious train across the continent. The ride alone will be an adventure in itself, complete with dreamy landscapes, interesting fellow travellers, and maybe even a little in-carriage ballet practice (as long as it's discreet and won't offend my fellow passengers!).

And when I reach the Netherlands, it’s pony time! Yes, I'm getting my hooves happy for a leisurely gallop on a delightful Dutch pony before making my way to Prague. The gentle trot and the fresh air promise to be a calming pre-show ritual for a stress-free journey.

Follow My Adventures

I’m absolutely thrilled about this trip to Prague and all the pink tutu adventures awaiting me.

As always, you can join me on my travels and share in the magic. Check back here every Wednesday for updates, exciting pictures, and my insights on all things ballet, fashion, and Czech delights. I can't wait to share my adventures with you!

Until next time,

Emma xoxo

P.S. I’m so happy to be growing our little Pink Tutu community! Please, tell me: what’s the most whimsical thing you’ve ever worn?

P.P.S Remember, everyone can embrace their inner ballerina! No matter your age, size, or background, pink tutus are for everyone. Let’s all make the world a more pink and twirly place!
