Pink Tutu Prague - Post #832: Ballerina in a Big City π©°
Hello lovelies! It's Wednesday, and you know what that means - another dazzling Pink Tutu adventure, straight from the heart of Prague!
This week, I'm waltzing straight into your screen from a cobblestoned courtyard, bathed in the golden glow of Prague's setting sun. My pink tutu twirls with the gentle breeze, and the clinking of a nearby street performer's cymbal sets my heart a-flutter. Oh, Prague, you are truly a feast for the senses!
I landed here a week ago, after a whirlwind journey on the Orient Express. Yes, the Orient Express! I couldn't resist a bit of old-world glamour, and who doesn't love a carriage that looks like something straight out of a ballet? Imagine the elegance, the whispered conversations, the clinking of champagne glasses β pure romance!
I was wearing my brand new pink tulle tutu, of course. It was the perfect blend of vibrant colour and fairytale charm, shimmering with every carriage sway.
But let's be honest, the true reason I'm in Prague? Ballet, darling, ballet! It's everywhere! From the intricate costumes at the National Theatre to the passionate street performances that erupt in unexpected corners, Prague's love for the dance is palpable.
Speaking of the National Theatre, I must tell you about their production of "La Sylphide". Oh my word, it was breathtaking! The delicate sylphs fluttering around the stage like butterflies, the graceful movements of the lead dancer... I was practically transported into a fairytale! You could practically smell the woods and feel the magic swirling through the air. It truly captured the essence of this enchanting city.
And I have to share my biggest discovery β a little gem tucked away in the heart of the Old Town Square called "Atelier Tutu". The owner, a delightful woman named Hana, has a passion for all things tulle! Her shop is a haven of delicate fabrics and elaborate embellishments. I felt like a ballerina princess surrounded by my very own personal fairy godmother. I emerged with a bewitching new pink tulle tutu, this time adorned with hand-painted flowers.
My trip hasn't been all ballet, of course. Shopping is a key element in any good ballet-inspired journey. Let me tell you, the Czech Republic has a fabulous fashion scene. Imagine a chic, vintage dress in a pastel pink with lace detail β that's what I call Parisian chic! I was particularly enamoured with a beautiful antique shop on the banks of the Vltava river β I even found a dainty pink scarf that I paired with my favourite velvet beret. A perfect match, darling, for strolling along the riverfront.
Oh, but it's not all about shopping and performances, you know. I had to try out Prague's legendary horse-drawn carriages β an experience fit for a ballerina princess! Just picture this: the soft, rhythmic trot of the horse, the tinkling of the bells, and me, nestled comfortably in a plush carriage, swirling my tutu like a princess in a fairy tale. Honestly, the sheer delight of it! It was like travelling through time, back to a more elegant era. The only thing missing was a prince to complete the picture, but you canβt have it all, can you?
This brings me to a very important topic: pink tutus. Yes, my friends, the movement is taking off! The streets of Prague are a canvas of creativity. It feels like a grand opening for tutus! I've seen young women wearing their pink tutus with pride, even some gentlemen with a whimsical flair have embraced the tutu!
Honestly, it feels like magic. Everyone seems to be getting on board. It makes my heart skip a beat to see people rocking their own individual flair and celebrating the sheer joy of movement. My aim in life is to get everyone wearing a pink tutu, and Prague is making me believe that it's possible!
As the day wraps up, and Prague lights begin to twinkle, I know itβs time to sign off. But the beauty and inspiration of this city will keep me dancing all night! I've promised myself I will take a ballet class before I leave - even if I can only find one teacher who speaks a smattering of English. I don't want to leave without trying a waltz in Prague's magic squares, darling!
But fear not, lovelies, I will be back next week with a new Pink Tutu Prague adventure. Join me at www.pink-tutu.com every Wednesday!
Until then, keep dancing and stay stylish.
XOXO,
Emma π
