Hello, darlings! Itās your favourite tutu-clad traveller, Emma, and Iām absolutely buzzing to be in Prague, the City of a Hundred Spires! This magnificent city has been on my wishlist for ages, and it has already captured my heart with its charming cobblestone streets, fairy-tale architecture, and of course, the delicious aroma of trdelnĆk wafting through the air!
But first, letās talk about the journey! Oh, how I love a train journey! Snuggling into my little pink-striped blanket (I swear, my travel essentials include a rainbow of pink and tulle), I watched the English countryside slip away and saw the rolling hills and ancient castles of the Czech Republic bloom into view. Itās just magical!
My trip, of course, started in Derbyshire, England ā my lovely home town. But as soon as I touched down in Prague, I felt like a fairytale princess, transported to a magical kingdom. Just walking along the Vltava River, with its beautiful bridges, made me feel like I'd stepped into a storybook.
My apartment here is simply delightful. The windows look out onto the beautiful Charles Bridge, with its quaint shops and even quirkier street performers. Iām already feeling the city's artistic pulse thrumming through my pink ballet slippers. I mean, how could you resist being inspired by such vibrant colours, history, and life!
But darling, you know I'm a huge ballet buff, and I simply cannot resist a bit of tutu action while travelling. Luckily, thereās a fabulous ballet academy here, with its charming pink studios (how very pink of them!) and Iām planning to squeeze in a ballet class or two. Nothing like a few graceful pliĆ©s and grand jetĆ©s to loosen those travelling legs, right?
Speaking of ballet, there's a fantastic production of Swan Lake at the National Theatre in Prague on the 14th September. I absolutely canāt wait to experience the drama and beauty of this iconic ballet in such a historical venue. Iāll be sporting my new sparkly pink tutu and tiara, of course. After all, ballet is about making a statement, darling!

Now, Prague is the perfect city for a little retail therapy. Letās be honest, shopping is part of the fun of travelling. This city is full of delightful vintage boutiques, stylish markets, and oh-so-chic shops selling handcrafted jewellery and designer clothing. My pink wardrobe is just aching for an update, especially now that the new autumn season is upon us.
Did I tell you how much I adore the Czech fashion scene? There are so many talented designers here, blending traditional craft techniques with modern designs. It's seriously inspirational! Just last week, I fell in love with this stunning bohemian skirt, made from recycled fabrics, that I spotted in a charming little shop. It's simply the perfect touch of pink and pattern to complete my new āPrague-inspiredā ensemble.
So, as Iām starting my Prague adventure, I'll be sharing everything, from the best spots for delicious coffee and pastries, to secret shopping spots, and of course, my favourite ballet studios and performances. What to see in Prague on September 14th
So, the 14th September is already in the calendar and you bet your bottom dollar, this little ballerina will be making the most of her time here! Letās delve into what Prague has to offerā¦
Swan Lake at the National Theatre: This beautiful ballet production is the perfect evening for a cultured date night! Let the music and the elegant dance draw you in. A showstopper, this ballet truly transports you.
St. Vitus Cathedral: This is a landmark, darling! Take a moment to soak in the architectural glory and intricate decorations inside. Iāll be pairing a bright pink tulle skirt and a floral crown for this one, to bring a pop of colour to the gothic setting!
Charles Bridge at sunset: It's a fairytale scene right out of a picture book. Stroll along the cobblestone bridge at sunset, soaking in the golden light, and imagine yourself in a grand waltz with a handsome prince, (or handsome tourist with a camera!), surrounded by street musicians serenading the crowds. This calls for my pastel pink tulle and silk rose corsage ā always keep a ladyās grace and style about you, dearie!
Enjoy the Night Market: I love a good market! The stalls at this evening market, especially at the end of summer, are just bursting with artisanal goodies, handmade souvenirs, and scrumptious food ā from fresh fruit to those glorious Czech cheeses. I can already see my shopping bag full of trinkets for my dear friends back home. Plus, a good market gives me the perfect chance to test out some of my newest pink-hued purchases. Nothing like pairing a sassy polka dot skirt and pink bow with my new handmade trinkets for the perfect look!
Pink Inspiration for Prague: Prague's beauty truly inspires me, darling. As soon as I stepped off the train, I saw the prettiest display of roses at a flower stall. Theyāre such delicate flowers in their pink hues, perfectly fitting for my pink world! Imagine, rose petals strewn across a dance floor for a delightful ballet numberā¦ maybe something I could recreate in one of my upcoming blogs!
You can be sure I'll be documenting everything with pictures and video clips (my Instagram feed is always up to date, of course!). This pink tutu adventurer needs to share every pink-tastic moment!
