Prague, My Love! (Blog Post #892)

Hello my darlings! It's Wednesday again, which means a brand new Pink Tutu adventure! This week, I'm absolutely bursting with excitement to share my recent trip to Prague, a city that stole my heart in just a few short days. Think cobbled streets, impossibly charming architecture, and an air of history that whispers through every corner - it's a truly magical place.

And you know what else is magical? The National Theatre!

This iconic venue has a special place in my heart. You can just imagine all the famous ballerinas who have graced its stage, the shimmering costumes, the elegant music, the stories whispered through the centuries. I simply had to take a peek inside, and you can be sure, my lovely tutus were ready for their close-up!

Now, as much as I love my beloved ballet shows, a bit of fashion shopping is a must on any trip. Prague truly surpassed itself! From quirky vintage boutiques to grand department stores, the city offers a treasure trove of fabulous finds. Let me tell you, darling, it's quite difficult to resist a pretty little pink dress (or ten!) when everything is so darn adorable! And my fellow pink enthusiasts, be warned, there are so many blush pink items just begging to be taken home.

Of course, a trip to Prague wouldn't be complete without some classic tourist delights. We spent a beautiful morning strolling along Charles Bridge, a historic gem lined with charming stalls selling everything from local crafts to the most tempting sweets imaginable. We took a fun, slow-paced boat tour down the Vltava River, admiring the cityscape and snapping countless photos. The afternoon found us exploring Prague Castle, marveling at its impressive grandeur. The sheer beauty of it all took my breath away, and the history... oh, the history! It was all so romantic, so enchanting!

And let's not forget the food, my dears! I could live on their delicious traditional Czech dumplings alone, but the beer was pretty incredible too! We even indulged in some creamy Czech coffee for the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.

To end this magical week, I discovered an extraordinary treat! A beautiful little hidden square tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle of Prague. Imagine my surprise, right in the middle of the city, a perfectly manicured garden, bursting with life and beauty. The gentle sound of a fountain, the scent of blooming flowers, and a sky awash in the golden hues of a setting sun - it was a fairytale! I swear, I felt like I'd stepped right out of a dream.

But let's get back to the real stars of the show, my Pink Tutu outfits!

Each day I curated a new look to match the energy and beauty of the city.

For our journey to Prague, I donned my "Pink Dreams" travel tutu. It's a light, breezy, pastel-pink tutu, perfect for long train rides. Its delicate layers create a graceful silhouette, and the floral embroidery makes it just the right touch of whimsical charm. And you just know I paired it with my pink polka-dot travel bag and matching flat shoes! I received so many compliments on my ensemble - it's a truly magical travel look that adds a touch of elegance to any journey.

While exploring Charles Bridge, I donned my "Prague Promenade" tutu. It's a vibrant pink tutu with a stunningly intricate design inspired by the beauty of the Prague architecture. The rich pink hue complements the stunning buildings and cobblestone streets, and the shimmering embellishments reflect the city's magical glow.

For our romantic evening by the Vltava, my "Nightingale Serenade" tutu was the perfect choice. It's an ethereal, pale pink tutu with sparkling accents that shimmer like moonlight on the river.

We also visited a fabulous ballettomane friend for a casual chat, and naturally, I was wearing my favourite "Pink Tutus are the Best Tutus" t-shirt. The colours compliment all of my pink tutu selections, making me look incredibly chic, stylish, and elegant.

Speaking of elegance, one evening we took a beautiful stroll down "The Royal Road", the elegant stretch leading to the impressive Prague Castle. That evening, I couldn't resist wearing my "Velvet Royal" tutu, a stunning, luxurious pink tutu adorned with beautiful velvet accents, perfect for adding a touch of royal splendour to my ensemble.

While shopping, I discovered a most adorable pink purse - the "Parisienne" tote. Oh my! She's going to be the star of my outfits, darling, because pink purses and pink tutus are the perfect partners in crime!

And to finish the week on a high note, my friends threw a fabulous pink themed party in our flat! (What else, darling?!!)

And while all of this might sound a little over the top, you know me - I simply can't resist a touch of extravagance! I truly believe that every occasion calls for a special tutu, and a pink one at that.

And of course, no journey is complete without a sprinkle of pink tu tu magic! I am always happy to meet up with lovely tutu fans, especially if they're visiting Prague. Just keep an eye out for the bright pink flash. Who knows, we might even turn heads on Charles Bridge together!

My next post will be coming your way next Wednesday, so until then, stay stylish!

With love and tutus,

Emma xx

P.S. If you're ever in Prague and are looking for a fun, pink-tastic activity, I highly recommend checking out The National Theatre website for performance listings. It's the perfect way to soak up some culture and indulge in your love of ballet, like I did.

P.P.S. Did I mention I love pink? I simply cannot get enough of the color pink, it is a pure and happy color and one that just always feels perfect to me. Don't forget to visit my site [www.pink-tutu.com] for updates on all things pink tutu, from my new book, "The Pink Tutu Bible: How to Find, Choose, Wear, Love and Care for Pink Tutus", to special events, my favourite shopping deals, my current fashion obsessions, and maybe, just maybe, a chance to meet me in person.

Because as I like to say, life's just not as fun without a pink tutu!
