Pink Tutu Prague: A Whirlwind of Romance and Rococo ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’• (Blog Post #894)

Hello my lovely Tutu-ettes!

It's Wednesday, and you know what that means... a fresh installment of the Pink Tutu Prague blog! This week, I've been swirling through the cobbled streets of this magical city, taking in the fairytale architecture, indulging in a spot of Czech beer (don't worry, it's still perfectly pink!), and, of course, dancing my way to my heart's content at the National Theatre.

Oh, Prague, you really are a treat for the senses. Every corner seems to burst with history and charm, making me feel like I've stepped straight into a Rococo painting!

But before we delve into the magical world of Prague, let me fill you in on my whirlwind journey here. You know I wouldn't miss out on an opportunity to experience the romance and beauty of travelling by train! I bid farewell to my Derbyshire home, boarded a comfortable carriage, and let the countryside scenery whisk me away, much like a graceful pas de deux. My pink tutu, of course, made the perfect travel companion - even if the other passengers gave me a few curious glances! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Once in Prague, I felt that unmistakable feeling of magic settle around me. I checked into my little, boutique hotel (pink, naturally!) and then headed straight to explore the charming Old Town Square. Imagine a world filled with golden spires, pastel-coloured houses, and an array of cobblestone alleys just begging to be discovered! This was a tutu-spinning moment for sure!

And the fashion! Let me tell you, Prague doesn't disappoint. There's an air of vintage chic and modern edge in every shop window, making me want to scoop up every charming, vintage blouse and intricate hand-painted bag! It was definitely a treat for the sartorial soul, even if I did spend most of the day staring longingly at all the gorgeous displays (much to my lovely tour guide's amusement, bless him).

Now, onto the highlight of the trip (other than my divine new blouse, of course) - the ballet! Tonight, I'm attending a performance of "Giselle" at the National Theatre, the largest and most celebrated opera house in the entire Czech Republic. Just the thought of the exquisite costumes, the dramatic storyline, and the mesmerizing choreography has my tutu-wearing heart pounding! It's guaranteed to be a ballet experience for the ages!

Here's a quick peek at the schedule for tonight's grand performance:

  • Time: 7:30pm (always remember to check the local time, darling!).
  • Location: The grand, historical National Theatre.
  • Ballet: "Giselle". Oh, the beauty of classic ballet, the intricate tutus, and the heartbreaking story - truly a masterpiece!

And to make things even more fabulous... I found a charming cafe near my hotel where I can indulge in a delightful pink champagne and dainty little finger sandwiches before the show. Doesn't that just sound utterly delightful?

But let's rewind back to the early part of my week...

Speaking of delightful... I spent an entire afternoon at the magical "Tutu Museum" hidden in a quiet, little street off the beaten path. This fascinating place housed a truly spectacular collection of historical tutus from around the globe. Just imagine the stunning colours, delicate fabrics, and intricate designs! My heart literally danced in my chest as I marveled at the craftsmanship and elegance of these exquisite creations. And yes, they even had some truly wonderful vintage pink tutus, oh my!

Of course, I had to get my hands on a gorgeous new tutu while I was here. And what better place than "Dance of Dreams" tucked away in a tiny boutique with sparkling displays of shimmering silk, satin and velvet, not to mention an array of ballet shoes and gorgeous ballet-themed jewelry. I even managed to snag a pair of fluffy pink ballerina slippers with silver sequins (you're just going to have to see them for yourselves, my darlings!).

And now, with the sun beginning to set, painting the city in a kaleidoscope of warm orange hues, I must admit, Prague is truly enchanting. I can practically see my evening unfold:

  • 5:30 pm: A leisurely stroll through the picturesque streets, maybe a detour to admire the historical architecture and indulge in a couple of mouthwatering traditional pastries.
  • 6:30 pm: Champagne and delicious snacks at my enchanting cafe.
  • 7:00 pm: A breathtaking, Pink Tutu-ed entry to the National Theatre (of course). I shall make an entrance with my graceful swirling movements!
  • 7:30 pm: "Giselle", "Giselle", "Giselle"! I can't wait to get lost in the romantic story and graceful choreography.
  • 10:30 pm: After-show dinner (hopefully featuring the finest Czech beer and maybe a pink cocktail to top it off)!
  • 11:30 pm: A serene stroll home beneath the twinkling lights of Prague, reflecting on the beauty and magic of this incredible city.

I know, it sounds like the perfect night! But, of course, it wouldn't be a true pink-tutu experience without sharing the moment with you, my lovely readers!

So, I'll be posting my live reflections and photographs on my Instagram account, @pinktutulife, so don't forget to check in and follow the journey! You never know what enchanting adventures this whimsical pink tutu-wearing girl might stumble upon!

Until next week, keep twirling, darling, keep twirling!

And as always, be sure to keep checking back to the Pink-Tutu blog every Wednesday for a new installment of my enchanting journey through Prague and the world of dance.

Stay fabulous and pink-tastic!

Love,

Emma
