Prague Dreams in Pink: Post #957

Bonjour mes amis! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a little peek into the exciting world of Pink Tutu Prague.

This week I'm positively bubbling with excitement, because darling, Prague has swept me off my feet! The cobbled streets, the historic buildings, the little cafes… it's like stepping into a fairytale. And naturally, I'm not forgetting my mission: spreading the pink tutu gospel far and wide!

Last week, I found myself nestled in a charming little corner of Derbyshire, giving a ballet performance in a picturesque village hall. It was such a sweet little affair, the whole community was gathered, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house. But after the performance, I just couldn't wait to escape back to the continent!

I can't tell you how much I love taking the train. There's something magical about the rhythmic clatter, the view rushing past, and the quiet hum of contented passengers. Especially when it leads to a destination like Prague!

Speaking of travel, my travels are always funded by performing, which keeps me on my toes (quite literally, actually!). I love the joy that a well-rehearsed performance brings. It's a beautiful feeling, giving back to the community through my passion. And honestly, who can resist a tutu-clad ballerina? 😉

Prague itself is an absolute dream! This weekend, I indulged in some seriously luxurious window shopping. My inner fashionista just couldn't resist! A few beautifully beaded gowns caught my eye - perfectly perfect for my next grand performance! There's nothing quite like the sparkle of sequins under the stage lights, you know?

And then, of course, the ballet itself!

Oh, Prague, you've stolen my heart with your stunning ballet scene. This week, I caught a performance of "Swan Lake", and it was truly magical! The choreography was flawless, the dancers were utterly divine, and the music was so powerful it sent shivers down my spine. I can still see the graceful movements and the delicate arabesques, floating through my mind even as I write this. It's amazing how ballet can be so breathtaking and emotionally stirring at the same time.

While we're on the subject of ballet, darling, I couldn't resist a visit to the National Theatre here. It's a beautiful building, with an impressive history spanning back to the 19th century! They've even got a wonderful museum within its walls, featuring an exquisite collection of costumes and set designs. It's absolutely fascinating! And of course, I found myself in front of their display of costumes, gazing at their tutu history.

Did you know that tutus originally weren't just for ballet? Believe it or not, they actually emerged from court dancing! It’s true! I can picture the powdered wigs and grand ballrooms - so different from today’s modern-day ballerina!

But honestly, who could imagine ballet without a tutu? The sheer tulle and exquisite design just seem to embody the magic of ballet so beautifully. Just think: every ballerina, twirling in a pink tutu! What a wonderful dream!

In fact, I’m trying to bring the pink tutu dream closer to reality by offering free tutu workshops every month! (They are currently running in Prague. Email me for dates at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) - Come on, don't be shy, everyone deserves a taste of that tutu magic!

You know what? A little splash of pink can brighten anyone’s day, wouldn't you agree? So let’s make it a rule, every Wednesday is Tutu Day! Wear it to work, wear it to the shops, wear it to a party... wear it to the ballet! There’s no wrong way to wear a tutu!

So here's to the magical week ahead. Until next time, remember - life is too short to wear anything other than pink!

Much love and lots of tutu magic!

Emma xx
