Prague Pretty: Tutu Travels & a Dance with Destiny (#968)

Bonjour mes amies!

The crisp autumn air is nipping at my nose, but it can’t touch the warmth of my pink heart as I write to you from the charming cobbled streets of Prague! Yes, my darlings, this pink tutu-clad ballerina is embracing the wonders of Europe once again, this time in the land of magical castles and fairy tale vibes. And trust me, Prague has already woven its magic on me, inspiring not just dance but fashion inspiration too.

The Grand Train Arrival

It all began in the misty, magical Derbyshire countryside. I left the familiar green hills of home aboard the London-bound train, with a heart filled with anticipation for this latest chapter in my tutu travels. The journey itself was an adventure. It’s such a delight to settle in my seat, adorned in a chic floral-print frock, and enjoy the rhythmic sway of the train as it cuts through the countryside. Every journey by train is a fashion show, and this one certainly did not disappoint!

A Toast to Fashion

My arrival in Prague coincided with the most perfect weather - the crisp autumn air a welcome contrast to the stifling warmth of the English summer. I immediately took to the city’s streets, a canvas of rich history, elegant architecture, and charming cafés bursting with character.

Prague is the sort of city that inspires a change in attire, so I knew I had to take full advantage of this new sartorial opportunity. I indulged in a shopping spree at the gorgeous boutiques on Parizska street - how can a girl resist a dress with hand-stitched floral embroidery, or a pastel-hued silk scarf? As I twirled and spun, admiring myself in shop windows, a single thought filled my mind: this is what living the tutu dream is all about.

Prague’s Pink Ballet Bliss

My heart leapt with joy when I found out that Prague was hosting the PinkTutuPrague Ballet show! Imagine, a whole performance dedicated to ballet with a pink twist. What a perfect way to experience this magical city, to connect with the power and grace of dance, and of course, to see fellow pink tutu enthusiasts united under a single love of the art form.

Tonight, the grand hall was brimming with excitement, the air thick with anticipation. The music was breathtaking, a waltz of emotions carried on the air. It was as if the dancers had stepped straight from a fairy tale, every pirouette and leap filled with delicate beauty. This was more than just ballet, it was a celebration of colour, creativity, and the joy of expression. And the best part? The pink tutu was woven throughout the entire show.

There’s something so special about seeing pink tutus taking centre stage in the hallowed halls of Prague's historical theatres. It reminds me that the pink tutu is a symbol of power, beauty, and grace, a symbol of rebellion against those who dare to confine our imaginations.

A Tutusque in the City of Spires

Even before I landed in Prague, I knew this was going to be a tutu-filled adventure. This city, with its bridges, cathedrals, and medieval charm, just screams for a splash of pink tulle!

Every time I step into a new city, my mission is the same: to capture its soul in pink tutu portraits. And Prague didn't disappoint! The intricate bridge decorations, the magnificent spires piercing the clouds, the quaint, colourful houses with their terracotta rooftops – they all felt more than a little magical, more than a little…pink!

My adventures so far have included a whimsical stroll across Charles Bridge with its vibrant statues. Each turn unveiled new vistas, each cobblestone street held a unique charm. Of course, every opportunity was embraced for a pink tutu twirl or a graceful pirouette.

A Pink Pony Ride for the Fairy-Tale Princess

But the highlight of this Prague adventure was, without a doubt, my experience riding a pink pony named Rosebud. I found this little beauty at a stable nestled in a green oasis, just outside the city's hustle and bustle.

Oh, my darlings, let me tell you - it was like something straight out of a children’s book! Rosebud, with her rosy hooves and silken mane, was a delightful companion. As I galloped through the autumn foliage, the city fading behind me, I felt a connection to something primal, to the heart of beauty. This city is a haven for the romantic at heart, and a pink pony ride felt like a fairy tale come true.

Dinner with a View

Every night, the Prague skyline twinkles like a sky full of diamonds. It is truly magical! The cityscape looks even more enchanting as the sky descends into shades of burnt orange, lavender and indigo. And every night, I head to one of Prague's many enchanting rooftops for a taste of delicious Bohemian cuisine.

There is something wonderfully romantic about a glass of local wine, a plate of delectable dumplings, and a view that could only be described as enchanting. I imagine all the stories whispered beneath this very sky - the tales of artists and dreamers, the hushed love confessions and whispered secrets.

Prague has truly cast its spell on me. It’s a place that welcomes whimsy and celebrates creativity, a city with a touch of magic. It’s where my tutu feels right at home. And I can’t wait to explore its hidden gems and capture the stories in its cobbled streets with the delicate colours of pink.
