Prague - A Ballet Dream Come True (Blog Post #969)

Hello my darling Tutu Twirlers! It's Wednesday, and that means a new post from your favourite pink-tutu-loving ballerina, Emma! This week, I've had the absolute pleasure of pirouetting my way through the enchanting city of Prague, a city bursting with history, culture, and - of course! - fabulous ballet.

Before I spill all the delightful details, I've gotta tell you about the journey itself! I adore taking the train for these little escapades - something about the rhythmic click-clack of the tracks just gets me feeling all graceful and inspired! This time, I was even lucky enough to have a journey punctuated by a whimsical pony ride across a meadow bursting with wildflowers! (Remember that picture-perfect moment? I’m already planning a return trip just for another pony adventure!).

And let me tell you, the city of Prague itself has that same sense of fairytale enchantment. Cobblestone streets lined with charming cafes, majestic bridges, and impossibly beautiful buildings with their onion domes... I practically felt myself twirling into a dream! My darling pink tutu felt right at home among the whimsical beauty!

Now, onto the real reason for my journey! I was absolutely buzzing with anticipation for my main event - the "PinkTutuPrague" ballet performance! You see, this wasn't just any ballet, darling, it was a full-scale spectacle, a ballet themed around the power of pink, tutus, and... yes! You guessed it, me!

Oh, it was simply magical! Imagine this, dear reader: the stage bathed in a soft blush of pink light, dancers whirling and leaping in vibrant, candy-coloured tutus. Each costume more fabulous than the last! And every little detail, from the set to the music, just exuded pure girly goodness! The whole audience, a sea of smiles and whispers, seemed caught in the same spell.

It wasn't just the dancing that stole my heart. It was the ballet history. Every move, every costume, and every element of the performance paid tribute to the greats: Anna Pavlova, Margot Fonteyn, and of course, my beloved Tutu legend, Carmen De Lavallade! You simply couldn't escape the magical aura. I nearly floated away!

Oh, and don’t forget the shopping! Prague, my lovelies, is an absolute haven for vintage and boutique finds, just waiting to be discovered by a fashion-obsessed ballerina like myself! From decadent ball gowns in shades of lavender and rose to quirky little ballet flats with just a hint of pink sparkle, I practically spent my entire trip twirling between the racks. And of course, I bought enough pink tutus to fill a carriage. What’s a pink tutu loving ballerina to do, darling?!

Every moment of my time in Prague was like a dream. It wasn’t just a journey for me, darling, it was a whirlwind adventure into the world of ballet, fashion, and that unmistakable touch of pink that I cherish so much. I've been meaning to create a PinkTutu fashion blog and let you see all of my finds from the ballet, historical places and beautiful shops… but hey! One thing at a time.

Speaking of fashion, I can't wait to share some pictures from the ballet performance - I looked especially glamorous! So stay tuned for those gorgeous shots coming soon, darlings. You know I just have to post some fashion inspo on this website!

But before I leave you, a little call to action! Don’t forget to subscribe to the PinkTutu website to receive new updates - just think, there will be lots of lovely ballet inspiration from my trips coming soon!

Until next Wednesday, keep those pink tutus twirling and always remember…

Pink is the colour of magic, and ballet is the dance of dreams!

Much love and tutu kisses,

Emma
