Pink Tutu Prague: Blog Post #996: A Whirlwind of Pink & Prague! 🩰🌸🇨🇿
Hello darlings! It's Emma here, your pink-tutu-loving, ballet-obsessed, travel-junkie blogger, back from a fabulous trip to the enchanting city of Prague! This week’s post is a little extra special, because it’s been a dream come true to dance my way through Prague. As always, this week’s post is packed full of ballet, fashion, fun, and (of course!) a dash of pink. Grab a cuppa, settle in, and get ready to immerse yourselves in all things pink and fabulous!
This week I've been living my absolute best life! You know I've been looking forward to Prague for a while. Ever since my darling Mum bought me the gorgeous vintage pink tutu she found in Derbyshire's little vintage emporium. This tututu, darlings, has to be worn in Prague, and it was simply destined for this trip. Let's get down to details, shall we?
The Train to Prague 🚆Okay, darlings, let's start with the journey. My adventures began, as they often do, in a very familiar way – by train. As you all know, a journey by train is a journey that’s just full of excitement. It’s an adventure, you can relax, and the carriage window really does provide the best seats in the house, in my opinion. A train ride from Derbyshire was my very best option. I could slip into a stunning pink tutu and just enjoy my journey, not being cramped in an aeroplane, you know? A little known fact - Derbyshire is known for having the most amazing vintage shops, in my humble opinion!
I love it when my outfit truly represents the place I'm heading. My tutu has just so many special memories woven into it - every performance I've danced in Derbyshire in the gorgeous vintage piece! The Derbyshire scenery is just breathtaking from the carriage windows too - gorgeous rolling green fields, fluffy white sheep - It really is such a stunning county, it has to be seen!
Speaking of outfits, let me tell you, darling, I had packed the ultimate pink tutu outfit for this adventure! I was wearing my special ballet flats. They are so comfy and they go with anything! Of course, there had to be some vintage, with my Mum’s precious vintage pink tutu. My bag, darling? It just had to be the fabulous, very spacious pink handbag my sister gifted me, to carry everything I needed. My outfit really had that 'I've travelled through time' look, which is something I live for, honestly! The best part of my travelling outfit, and it had to be included: my pink ballet tutu. It's perfect for my journey - it twirls beautifully with every sway of the train, even when there’s just the slightest bit of movement. I don't know about you, darlings, but I truly love the sound of my tutu swishing as I go about my day. It truly is the sound of adventure for me!
Exploring the City of a Hundred SpiresNow let's talk about Prague, darling! From the moment I arrived at the train station, Prague was a true fairy tale. Cobblestone streets, charming houses, gorgeous buildings. And you can’t go to Prague without trying a delicious coffee in a beautiful cafe. You know, every true ballerina needs to maintain her energy for dancing. You see, it’s true – dancing requires so much coffee! Prague’s churches were breathtaking. There is an absolute feeling of magic around Prague - the colours of the city are stunning. They say that it's a city of 100 spires, but I believe there’s so much more to this amazing place - even beyond the stunning architecture. The vibe here, darlings, is just electrifying - the place has a life force about it - like an exciting adventure, it’s just intoxicating.
A Trip to the National TheatreNow, the true highlight of my trip was definitely seeing the National Theatre. The place is so elegant and charming - it really does hold magic, darling!
Here’s where it all started, my trip, my pink tutu journey in Prague! I was mesmerized by its grand architecture and its historic background. Did you know the National Theatre’s story starts in the mid-19th century? Back then, in a land that is now called Czech Republic, the city folk all joined together to raise funds to get a Czech National Theatre built. Can you imagine - the city coming together to fund a place for the performing arts. Well, of course, that’s what my vision is! But that’s a story for another day - darling, don’t worry!
There was so much to see. The costumes, darling, they are the most exquisite - stunning, elaborate - each of them like a story on their own. You can feel the years, the history, of each garment in each detail - and you truly need to experience the place in person, you know. I did so enjoy it!
The performances, my darlings - it's no exaggeration - truly sublime! The precision and artistry of the ballet were simply breathtaking! I always try to absorb every bit of movement - it is such an important part of ballet, the gestures are so expressive - It’s all a language, it truly is. The dancers' movements were so beautiful. Each leap and turn felt so perfectly choreographed!
The Fashion Story of my Pink TutuThis is a story, darling, that needs to be told: Now, for my vintage pink tutu – oh my, did it create quite the stir in Prague! And not just at the National Theatre. This tutu is the life and soul of this blog, the star of this post, it was the lifeblood of my Prague adventure! It goes everywhere with me. And Prague really does lend itself to a life of pink! From walking by the Vltava River (that view was absolutely magical, darling), and to enjoying coffee in one of those gorgeous Prague cafes, this tutu added a dash of fairytale magic!
Pink Tutu for the WinThe thing is, Prague embraces color in a way you simply don’t see everywhere. There are shades of pink on the buildings - pinks so subtle yet elegant, but this tutu? It makes such a bold statement, darling! My pink tutu brings people’s faces to life – it’s a sure way to brighten anyone’s day. They say Prague’s a city for romance - well, I say, it’s a city that needs more pink, darling! And there I was, with a pink tutu on.
Honestly, darling, my favourite place in Prague is probably the square with all the street performers. My trip coincided with a really fun performance of some sort of street theatre show. And guess who was the audience's favorite person, darling? It was me in my tutu. That show is really worth mentioning! I took so many photos with these fabulously talented street performers – just darling! We really did create the perfect snapshot for an enchanting afternoon! Prague really is the most exciting city, darling. It really is a place that will make you believe anything is possible!
