Hello, darlings! 💋
This week, I'm writing to you from the beautiful city of Prague, where the cobblestones sing beneath my pink tutu! As you know, I've always had a soft spot for Europe. There's just something about the ancient architecture, the rich history, and the romance in the air that makes me want to twirl! 💃
And twirl I did this week, because this is the week I get to see The Sleeping Beauty at the magical National Theatre! Oh, it's just beyond gorgeous. And guess what? It's a performance by the National Theatre Ballet. That's royal ballet, my loves! ✨
Before I get ahead of myself though, let's talk about how I got to Prague. You see, I've always believed that travelling by train is the most charming way to get around. And when I stumbled across a delightful little train journey from Dresden, I knew it was fate!
Imagine: the gentle swaying of the carriage, the rolling hills of the Czech Republic slipping past the windows, and the warm aroma of croissants wafting through the air. Absolute bliss! 🥐
Of course, no trip is complete without a dash of my favourite pink, and this journey was no exception! My fuchsia polka dot dress, perfectly matched with a lavender ribbon around my hair, brought a little touch of magic to the train ride. 💖
Speaking of pink, the first thing I did upon arriving in Prague was take a walk through the city center. Prague is a haven for lovers of all things charming! I loved browsing through the local boutiques, searching for a new accessory for my next tutu. Imagine, darling! A pearl necklace or a pair of delicate pink gloves! Oh, the possibilities! ✨
Prague itself is absolutely captivating! You see, every turn brings a new burst of color! Imagine stunning pastel-colored buildings, cascading flower boxes bursting with pink, lavender, and red flowers, and streets bustling with life. It's a fairytale waiting to be danced in! 🌺
Now, back to the National Theatre! As I was saying, this ballet company is something special. You see, the sheer energy of the dancers is infectious! They move with such grace, their bodies like swans on the water. And the music...oh darling, the music! Every note filled with emotion, making my heart soar!
The story of The Sleeping Beauty was beautifully told through their movement, and let me tell you, they pulled off some impressive stunts! It had me gasping in delight! I particularly loved Aurora's graceful leaps, they felt like a whispered promise of freedom and joy! 🩰
And the costumes, darling! The ballerinas all shimmered in layers of beautiful, delicate tulle, like fairies flitting on the stage! They wore gorgeous, rich colors, the hues dancing in the spotlight as they moved. Each stitch a testament to craftsmanship and art.
Did I mention that the theatre itself was a masterpiece? It is magnificent! Its ornate architecture, painted ceilings and delicate chandeliers create a truly awe-inspiring spectacle. The atmosphere was filled with a certain buzz of excitement as the audience awaited the start of the show! ✨
As the evening drew to a close, I wandered out onto the charming, cobbled streets, filled with a newfound sense of energy and inspiration.
I found myself searching for the perfect place for a quiet cup of coffee and a little people watching, something I love about Prague! The city pulsates with life! Imagine, darling, cafes filled with animated conversation, artists sketching vibrant scenes, couples strolling hand in hand through the charming streets... a perfect setting for soaking up the atmosphere! ☕️
Of course, the trip wouldn't have been complete without a little dance of my own.
I've been attending a lovely little ballet studio called Prague Ballet Studio. The teachers are incredibly passionate, and I'm already learning some new steps and techniques. I have to say, learning from such talented instructors, and the opportunity to move my body in this way in such a stunning city, has simply been magic!
My little Prague adventures filled my heart with a new energy! Every detail was picture-perfect! The food is simply divine! Think decadent cakes bursting with creamy flavors, melt-in-your-mouth dumplings and freshly-baked pastries. Delicious! 💖
Before I finish up my post, I have to share some delightful pink discoveries I made on my Prague adventure. Let's just say it was like pink heaven!
First, I stumbled upon the most divine pink candy shop - simply called 'Pink Heaven' - offering handmade candies and sweets in the most vibrant shades of pink! Can you even imagine, darling? The cutest things for my tea party! 🍭🍬
And then, there's a lovely little boutique I discovered, right off the beaten track. Imagine: racks of fluffy tulle and silk, rows of glittering rhinestones and countless colours of shimmering lace. My heart almost jumped out of my chest! 😍
Of course, the biggest discovery is Prague itself. The beauty, the history, the energy...it all weaves into a beautiful tapestry that makes Prague truly enchanting! 💖
I'm going to continue to explore Prague until the end of the week, so expect to see many more Pink Tutu Adventures in upcoming blog posts. I've got my eyes set on exploring the breathtaking Charles Bridge, experiencing the enchanting Old Town Square, and even perhaps a pony ride! 🐎
