Pink Tutu Prague: Post #1015

Hello my darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, reporting live from the beautiful city of Prague!

This week has been absolutely divine, packed with enchanting ballet, delightful discoveries, and an overdose of pink (of course!). This trip to Prague was extra special as I was invited to perform with the Czech National Ballet at the stunning National Theatre, a dream come true for a girl who lives and breathes ballet!

Train Adventures

This journey began with a journey by train. Now, there's nothing quite like settling into a plush, crimson velvet seat and gazing out the window at the rolling countryside. I do believe this particular journey, a mere nine hours, gave me plenty of time to peruse my favourite fashion magazines and jot down ideas for my new collection of tutu-inspired accessories. (More on that later!)

Arriving in Prague felt like stepping into a fairytale. Cobblestone streets, charming architecture, and a distinct feeling of old-world charm washed over me as I stepped off the train. The city was like a canvas bursting with pastel colours, intricate details, and a certain je ne sais quoi.

The Beauty of Prague

For my first day in Prague, I decided to revel in the city's artistic energy. We walked through the Old Town Square, the heart of Prague, marveling at the incredible Astronomical Clock. The clock, adorned with a tapestry of vibrant colours and intricate sculptures, seemed to whisper secrets from a bygone era. I imagined what it would have been like to be a ballerina during the Renaissance, twirling under these majestic towers!

We strolled across Charles Bridge, taking in the picturesque views of the Prague Castle across the river Vltava. I just adore bridges – they evoke such a romantic sentiment. Just like stepping into a ballet, each bridge leads to new experiences, adventures, and unforgettable moments!

Later, I went exploring in Mala Strana (Lesser Town). Here, I discovered hidden courtyards overflowing with flowers, tucked-away boutiques with vintage treasures, and art galleries filled with inspiring pieces that ignited my artistic spirit. Prague truly has a soul, one that resonates with the beauty of ballet – each street corner, each windowpane, each quaint cafe - it all inspires graceful movements and delicate elegance.

Czech National Ballet – An Unforgettable Performance

And now for the reason I truly came to Prague! This Saturday, I graced the stage of the National Theatre as part of the Czech National Ballet's incredible production of “Swan Lake”. Performing under the bright lights, feeling the energy of the audience, the thrill of the applause – these are the things that make this tutu-clad ballerina truly come alive.

Speaking of "Swan Lake", how utterly enchanting it is! To imagine the story unfolding in your mind as you watch the beautiful movements and intricate costumes – it’s magical. Every pirouette, every jeté, every graceful glide was an embodiment of artistry and storytelling. The performance, the setting, the emotions that emanated from each dance, it was simply breathtaking.

You know, darling, ballet and tutus go hand in hand! But Prague also held some exciting finds in terms of tutu history and style. Did you know that the history of tutus can be traced back to the romantic era? Now that's what I call a historical ballet tutu connection!

Shopping Extravaganza

No trip would be complete without a delightful foray into Prague's fabulous shopping scene. While exploring the city's vibrant districts, I was lured in by charming boutiques tucked away in alleyways, full of whimsical treasures, enchanting jewellery, and gorgeous garments. Of course, the hunt for a perfect pink tutu is always paramount – a pink tutu enthusiast must always be on the lookout! I must say, I’ve found some absolute gems in the vintage shops, some real “fairy godmother” finds that are sure to make their way into my wardrobe.

And my loves, how can I forget the delicious Prague food? Every bite was an adventure in taste – from sweet pastries to creamy dumplings and mouth-watering goulash – oh, the joys! It is, of course, important for a ballerina to maintain a balanced diet (those endless hours in pointe shoes need lots of energy, darling!). But who says a ballerina can’t enjoy the occasional indulgent treat?

Pony Adventure

On our final day in Prague, I wanted a truly whimsical and romantic experience, something to capture the spirit of the city and make memories that would last a lifetime. And that’s where the pony comes in! I can’t reveal where we found this magnificent creature but let’s just say I was riding through the city’s stunning parks on a majestic, pearl-white pony, the epitome of pure grace and charm! The sensation was pure joy and reminded me why I love exploring with an open mind and a heart full of adventure.

This has truly been an unforgettable journey to the magical city of Prague. The cobbled streets, the historic buildings, the vibrant atmosphere, the amazing ballet, the shopping finds – it has all captured my heart! It’s a place I will treasure in my memories, a place that has fuelled my artistic spirit and rekindled my love for travel and the world of ballet!

And finally, darling, as a pink tutu aficionado, it wouldn't be right for me to forget to inspire you, dear readers. How about adding a splash of pink to your outfits this week? Whether it’s a bright pink scarf, a delicate pink brooch, or even a simple pink ribbon – it’s time to let your inner ballerina shine!

Until next week,

Stay fabulous and don't forget to live your life with a pink twist!
