Pink Tutu Prague: Post 1019 – A Whirlwind of Tutus, Tchaikovsky, and Tiny Shops!

Hello darlings! It's Wednesday again, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Prague blog post! I'm back from another week of whirlwind touring, filled with tulle, twinkle toes, and so much pink it would make a flamingo blush! I'm still on my grand European adventure, and this week's escapade has taken me to Prague, a city that has completely stolen my heart.

I must confess, this is a city of endless charm, one that immediately enchanted me upon my arrival. It was a train journey that set the tone. It felt like a scene straight from a ballet – imagine rows of vibrant scenery flashing past my window as I sat, enveloped in tulle and daydreams, my heart already thrumming to the beat of adventure. This is exactly how I feel when I'm traveling – like a dancer floating effortlessly across a vast stage, and each journey is a new chapter in my ballet of life!

Prague, I’m happy to report, was as enchanting as my arrival. Imagine cobbled streets bathed in the warm glow of street lamps, historic buildings with soaring towers that look straight out of a fairytale, and tiny, bustling shops tucked away in alleyways filled with unique treasures – it's like a fairytale brought to life!

A Ballerina’s Bohemian Paradise:

But, let’s talk about ballet! Oh, my darling readers, I am so in love with the ballet scene here. You wouldn’t believe the passion and talent I've encountered in this enchanting city! My first night was a feast for my eyes - a glorious performance at the beautiful National Theatre. It was Tchaikovsky’s "Swan Lake," a ballet classic, and oh, it was so wonderfully magical! The costumes were exquisite – like clouds of feathers – and the dancers, oh, they simply danced like they were on clouds, too. It was truly moving.

And, my darlings, imagine my absolute delight when, at the end of the performance, they took me backstage! This was such a treat - the dancers were absolutely charming, so friendly, and happy to chat to this travelling ballerina with a pink tutu and dreams of twirling through Europe! It felt like a secret ballet party in the most magnificent backstage haven, and for that brief time, it felt like I’d landed right in my own ballet dream.

A Ballerina’s Shopping Spree:

I confess, darling, I simply adore Prague’s charm and its abundance of tiny boutiques that just cry out to be explored! One of my favourite moments was discovering a delightful shop brimming with vintage tutus and ballet shoes. It was a tutu heaven, complete with swirling silks and lace and so much pink it was dizzying. You know I simply had to bring home a few new pink tutu treasures to add to my growing collection!

It was truly like being back in time, surrounded by elegant and charming outfits with stories whispered on every ruffle and stitch. Imagine my joy, discovering a perfectly vintage-style pink tutu with a cloud-like skirt that seemed to whisper "Twirl! Twirl!". It will be my new star performer in my upcoming London debut!

And, just like a ballet show, each street in Prague offered its own unique story! From the Charles Bridge, with its breathtaking views of the city, to the quaint, romantic Old Town Square, and the quirky charm of the Jewish Quarter – every street held an enchanting performance waiting to unfold.

Travel, Style and Pink Tutues:

Don't be fooled, I always keep my sartorial choices on point while traveling. It's important for me to feel comfortable and elegant when I’m waltzing through the cobbled streets. That's why I chose to embrace a timeless pastel-pink cashmere coat with pearl-button detailing – so chic and flattering, I just couldn’t resist! And of course, it would be criminal to step out without a ballet-inspired accessory – a blush pink beret, a vintage bag with delicate floral embroidery – just a little something to enhance my graceful dance across the city.

My dear readers, let's all face it, a pink tutu never goes amiss in Prague, or indeed, any city! It's the perfect expression of my joyful energy, and it brings a burst of ballet beauty wherever I go! I've even found myself instructing strangers on the basics of twirling – it’s such a lovely way to share the magic of ballet with everyone!

A Tartan Tale and a Pink Tutu Dream:

My little adventure would not have been complete without a trip to the world-famous Christmas markets in Prague. Can you imagine the aroma of spiced wine and gingerbread wafting through the air, as carolers sing, and families gather, all shimmering under a canopy of glittering lights?! It was so beautiful, a real winter wonderland! I was particularly mesmerised by the beautiful handcrafted trinkets - there were so many gorgeous scarves and ornaments! I especially fell in love with a vibrant tartan scarf, the colours were simply breathtaking! I couldn’t leave without purchasing it, to add to my growing collection of travel treasures.

Prague truly embraced me like a welcoming ballet dance, with its graceful architecture and charming cobbled streets. This enchanting city stole my heart, and my love for ballet danced even higher amongst the glittering towers and the magical spirit of Prague. I will be returning soon – Prague, I know we are destined to dance again.

So, darlings, take this as a pink tutu-sized dose of inspiration – let’s twirl through our lives with joy and style! Don’t forget to keep dancing on the Pink Tutu journey with me! Until next Wednesday, stay lovely, and stay pink, my dear friends!

Yours in Ballet and Pink Tutues,

Emma
