This Wednesday marks the start of a magical week-long adventure in this beautiful city. It’s filled with cobbled streets, grand architecture, and a delightful buzz in the air, just begging to be explored with my favourite tutu. It’s been a dream of mine to see Prague since I was a little girl – the tales of its fairytale history always captivated me.
This week, my trusty travelling tutu is a glorious bubblegum pink, adorned with delicate tulle flowers that dance with every step. It's a perfect blend of playful and elegant, just like Prague itself! Speaking of elegant, my week wouldn’t be complete without indulging in some exquisite shopping. Let's just say I have my eye on a stunning crimson-red lace tutu to add to my collection – perfect for twirling in Prague’s charming squares. 👠
Speaking of twirling, did I mention I’ll be catching a performance of the world-renowned Prague Ballet Company at the historic National Theatre this week? Imagine, darlings, a night filled with exquisite costumes, masterful artistry, and a breathtaking display of classical ballet in such a grand setting – truly a ballet lover’s dream! And let’s not forget the magnificent chandelier that hangs above the stage – oh my, how I simply adore grand chandeliers! They're like giant glittering fairy lights, perfect for inspiring some graceful twirls and magical ballet moments. 💖
Prague, with its captivating history and artistic legacy, is like a haven for ballet enthusiasts like myself. Just think of all the stunning tutus worn by the ballerinas through the centuries! It’s impossible to not feel inspired here. Speaking of history, you'll be amazed by the beauty of the Charles Bridge. It's lined with charming sculptures, giving it a sense of whimsical charm. You know I can't resist a photo shoot in such a beautiful spot! Imagine me, perched delicately on a bridge railing, tutu swirling gracefully, as the sunlight dances across the river. It will be an absolute delight for Instagram. 📷
But before we talk about Instagram and ballet performances, let’s take a quick journey back to how I got here. This trip, like many of my grand adventures, is funded through the power of ballet. A couple of months ago, I performed at the Derbyshire Ballet Festival, my annual highlight. The response was phenomenal! All those magical tutu moments brought in enough funding for me to indulge in this dream trip. It’s proof that following your passion can lead to truly extraordinary journeys. And of course, the opportunity to visit this fairytale city with its beautiful buildings and fascinating history is something I am incredibly grateful for.
Oh! And can I just take a moment to appreciate the journey here? 🚄 This time, my adventure involved a thrilling train ride. Picture me, nestled in my corner seat, admiring the countryside scenery, all while daydreaming about the delightful pastries and latte macchiato that await me in Prague!
Speaking of pastries, my week here won’t be complete without trying Prague’s delicious offerings. The thought of sinking my teeth into a perfectly formed pastry and drinking a rich latte macchiato while watching the world go by makes my heart skip a beat! And imagine the stories the cafe walls could tell… imagine all the wonderful conversations, laughter and music that have echoed through their halls. I will definitely share my culinary findings with you next week, of course, along with some amazing pictures! I'll be taking you with me as I explore all the beautiful cafes and bakeries, taking a little time to relax and enjoy a slice of this enchanting city.

I'm already dreaming of the chic, vintage tutus that I could discover in its hidden antique stores. Perhaps a new colour or design to add to my growing collection.
