Pink Tutu Prague: Post #1061 - A Whirlwind of Pink in the City of a Hundred Spires

Hello darlings! It’s Wednesday, and that means it’s time for another dazzling dose of pink from yours truly, Emma, the Pink Tutu Ballerina!

This week, I've been absolutely twirling with excitement – I'm in Prague! The city of a hundred spires, charming cobblestone streets, and a whole heap of history is simply magical. As a little girl, I dreamt of dancing in the fairytale castles and whispering my heart's desire to the legendary Prague Clock.

And now, thanks to the magic of ballet and the rhythm of the rails (yes, I travelled here by train!), I'm living that dream! I have to say, my darling tutus are feeling right at home amongst all the beautiful architecture and intricate detailing.

Pink-tastic Fashion finds!

Prague is a treasure trove for the fashion-loving soul. Just walking down the streets, you're greeted with the most gorgeous boutiques and vintage shops, bursting with treasures waiting to be discovered. Of course, I couldn't resist adding a few exquisite pieces to my ever-expanding pink tutu collection.

My first stop was Parizska Street – a shopping heaven lined with luxurious designer boutiques. I fell head over heels for a dreamy pink silk scarf, soft as a cloud and shimmering with a delicate rose print. Imagine me twirling down Charles Bridge with it flowing behind me!

Then, it was onto Celetna Street for a bit of vintage fun. In a charming little shop, I stumbled upon the most delightful pink velvet clutch – a tiny vintage gem with gold embellishments and just enough space for my essentials. Oh, the fabulous evenings out it will bring!

Speaking of evenings out, I simply have to share a highlight from my first few days here!

Dancing in Prague!

Imagine a magnificent theatre with ornate chandeliers dripping with crystal, velvet seats adorned with intricate embroidery, and the atmosphere thick with anticipation – that was the stage set for a breathtaking performance of Swan Lake.

Oh, the beauty of the dancers, the grace of the movements, the sweeping melodies… I was transported to a world of swans, princes, and enchantment! The lead ballerina, with her ethereal movements and stunning pink tutu, left me breathless. Seeing her twirl across the stage was pure inspiration, reminding me of why I love this art form so much.

After the show, I found myself at a lovely cafe, enjoying a cup of warming ginger tea and soaking up the city lights.

History Meets Elegance!

You can’t talk about Prague without mentioning its rich history! I spent a delightful morning wandering around Prague Castle, its impressive walls and turrets offering breathtaking views of the city.

Then, I took a stroll through the Jewish Quarter, a poignant reminder of the city's vibrant Jewish community and its tragic history. It's truly fascinating to explore the ancient synagogues and the old cemetery, each stone a testament to a rich cultural tapestry.

While walking around these historical areas, I noticed something incredible - the fashion! Even centuries ago, people understood the power of a good look, as evident in the exquisite clothes displayed in the museums and historical displays. My tutus may be modern, but they’re deeply connected to the history of dance, and even clothing!

My Little Pony Adventure!

Now, Prague wouldn’t be Prague without a little bit of fairytale magic, right? Well, my dearest friends, I have news! Today, I decided to explore the city like a real princess, and that means… a pony ride!

Imagine a beautiful, sun-drenched day, me in my pinkest tutu, gracefully mounted on a gentle pony named Luna, our journey leading us along the enchanting Petrin Hill! It felt like I had stepped right out of a fairytale, and Luna was the most charming companion. I must say, riding a pony in a tutu is an experience every pink-loving soul should try.

My Pink Tutu Mission in Prague!

Of course, no journey of mine is complete without spreading the pink tutu love! You might be wondering, “How on earth do you encourage everyone to wear pink tutus?”

My darling, it's quite simple!

I always try to find a way to inject a touch of pink tutu magic wherever I go. In Prague, it's been an easy task! You'll see a sprinkle of pink in my pictures, from the vibrant streets to the captivating architecture.

And guess what? The other day, I encountered a charming local couple, strolling hand-in-hand, and I just had to share my enthusiasm for pink!

“Why not add a little touch of pink to your day?” I suggested with a wink.

Their faces lit up with laughter, and the lady confessed she loved pink and tutus too! My darling, it's amazing how much joy a simple question can bring. And of course, it goes without saying that I slipped a gorgeous pink tutu postcard into their hands, just to spark their imagination.

A Farewell to Prague...

Sadly, my Prague adventure is drawing to a close. It's been an unforgettable week filled with stunning architecture, delightful food, and even a few cheeky Czech pastries – those are a must-try! I have so many stories to tell, memories to cherish, and a few more pink goodies to add to my collection.

Until next Wednesday, darling, remember to spread the pink love! I’ll be sharing more of my pink Prague escapades on my blog and on my Instagram at www.pink-tutu.com.

Yours always,

Emma, the Pink Tutu Ballerina x
