Prague: The Pink Tutu Travels, Post #1093

Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another delightful post from your favourite pink-tutu-wearing, ballet-obsessed blogger, Emma! I'm writing to you from the heart of Prague, a city so charming and full of character that I'm practically bouncing in my pink tutu (it's my new "Vienna Waltz" number, darling - fabulous, don't you think?)

This week, Prague is painting the town pink (metaphorically, of course!), as I'm embracing everything the city has to offer. We're talking cobbled streets, majestic architecture, and of course, ballet performances that will make your heart flutter like a ballerina's ribbon.

Before we get into the glitz and glamour of the show, I've got to tell you about my journey here. Now, anyone who knows me knows I'm a hopeless romantic, and I adore a good train ride. So naturally, I travelled from Derbyshire to Prague by train. The scenery was stunning, just picture fields of wildflowers bathed in sunshine with an occasional castle in the distance โ€“ a true feast for the eyes!

Arriving in Prague felt like stepping back in time, the streets are so beautifully preserved. I immediately set out on a "Pink Tutu Discovery Tour", where I'm on the hunt for all the most photogenic spots to twirl in my new "Vienna Waltz" number. We're talking secret gardens, bridges adorned with twinkling fairy lights (perfect for a tutu twirl under the stars, don't you think?), and the most fabulous old bookshops, perfect for finding vintage ballet literature!

Prague Ballet, It's Calling!

Of course, I had to take in some incredible ballet performances during my time here. Now, Prague boasts some truly stunning theatres and opera houses, with the National Theatre standing as a magnificent testament to artistic excellence. On Tuesday evening, I had the pleasure of attending a performance of "Swan Lake" and I was completely transported! It was a magical evening of breathtaking choreography, emotive storytelling, and of course, magnificent costumes. There's nothing quite like seeing dancers gracefully move to Tchaikovsky's iconic score.

Fashion Focus: Prague Style

Speaking of costumes, my eyes have been feasting on the street style of Prague! Let me tell you, Prague girls have such a unique sense of fashion, and I'm loving their mix of vintage elegance and modern chic. I spotted a girl rocking a beautiful burgundy leather jacket over a flowing midi dress with a touch of bohemian flair - a perfect balance between edgy and feminine, darling!

Pink Tutu Inspiration in the Czech Capital

Prague's rich history is also a major source of inspiration for me, especially when it comes to tutus! Did you know the history of the tutu can be traced back to the early 19th century? The first tutus, designed by the great Marie Taglioni, were quite revolutionary for their time. Their flowing lines and lightness revolutionized ballet dance and created a truly feminine aesthetic. Itโ€™s a history that continues to resonate in the present-day ballet world and one I am incredibly passionate about.

Pink Tutu Travels: It's About More Than Just The Dress

It's not just about the tutus, darlings, it's about exploring the world with a sense of whimsy, beauty, and wonder. My Pink Tutu Travels is a celebration of all things ballet, fashion, and finding joy in the simplest things. Remember, every day is an opportunity to embrace the art of graceful movement, to wear a little pink, and to find the ballerina within.

Join Me on my Pink Tutu Adventures!

As I continue exploring this incredible city, Iโ€™ll be sure to share all the pretty and inspiring moments with you here, every Wednesday, right on www.pink-tutu.com. Until next time, remember to twirl, be bold, and let your inner ballerina shine!

Lots of love and happy tutuing,

Emma
