Prague, You're Simply Divine! - Pink Tutu Blog #1132

Dearest readers,

This week finds me in the utterly charming city of Prague, the city of a hundred spires, where history whispers through cobblestone streets and fairytale castles rise from the Vltava River. Oh, darling, I’m simply in love! From the moment I stepped off the train, with my little pink suitcase nestled snugly by my side, I knew this was going to be a special trip.

This week’s adventure is, of course, all about ballet, fashion, and discovering the magic that only Prague can offer. And, I'm delighted to say, it's been as magical as a pirouette!

The Perfect Start: Prague's Hidden Gems

As soon as I arrived, I was whisked away to a tiny, tucked-away tea room nestled amongst the historic squares. Picture it, darling: velvet sofas, flickering candlelight, and a menu featuring the most delectable, pinky-hued pastries imaginable. This place felt like it had sprung straight from a romantic novel, and the perfect setting for me to finally unwind after my journey. It’s a well-kept secret that I plan to share in a separate post!

The afternoon saw me strolling through Prague's old town. The atmosphere was simply divine! Quaint cafes, shops spilling over with lace and Bohemian crystal, and charming cobblestone alleyways that seemed to disappear into hidden courtyards. This city has a delightful rhythm to it, and I found myself swept up in its charming bustle. I could feel a ballet routine just waiting to be born amongst the old cobbled streets and historical squares - Prague is such a poetic city!

The Ballet Scene: An Exquisite Affair

No trip to Prague would be complete without a trip to the beautiful National Theatre. As you know, darlings, I am a big fan of both classical ballet and exploring new forms, and this evening promised a delightful performance by the Prague National Ballet.

Tonight’s show, ‘Giselle’, was pure magic. From the first flutter of the curtain, I was transported to a world of enchantment and wonder. The dancers were superb, with a grace and precision that took my breath away. Their leaps, turns, and expressions were truly inspiring, and I was captivated by their story, from the village maiden's love for the mysterious stranger to the final, heart-wrenching pas de deux.

My dear readers, I couldn’t help but be filled with a certain level of envy. It's not every day you see such sheer artistry. My love for ballet continues to grow with each breathtaking performance, especially when the costumes and backdrops are as dazzling as the dancers! It makes me wonder what my own tutus would look like on stage - maybe a splash of lavender amidst the classic white of the corps de ballet.

I even treated myself to a pair of the most delightful pink ballet shoes I've ever seen - delicate, feminine, and adorned with little bows, of course. After all, every ballet aficionado needs a little pampering, don't you think? They were the perfect finishing touch to my post-performance ensemble, a simple yet stylish frock with a blush-coloured shrug, perfectly coordinated with the ballerina pink in my new shoes!

A Wardrobe Devoted to Pink Tutus

Speaking of fashion, I simply cannot resist the allure of Prague's eclectic shops. Today, I ventured into the trendy district of New Town. After a lovely luncheon of local cuisine, which by the way, was simply heavenly, I stumbled upon a vintage store brimming with fabulous clothing treasures. I, of course, felt it my duty to explore each rack! I managed to unearth the most darling, baby pink, embroidered dress. It's going to be perfect for a night out in this charming city! And you know what I have to wear with it? A perfectly matching tulle tutu, of course. I simply can't help myself. It's as if pink was made for ballet!

My favourite part of travelling is finding those hidden gems, that little shop you've found purely by chance. And, darling, this is what Prague is all about - an adventure waiting to be explored!

The Dance of Everyday Life

While ballet holds a special place in my heart, this city, in all its vibrancy and beauty, has captured my senses in its own, uniquely whimsical way.

Each day has unfolded with a certain grace and flow. I even found myself enchanted by the local dancers performing in the street near the Charles Bridge. It's a truly romantic bridge with gothic arches that look straight out of a fairy tale, but I must say, it was the young dancers' effortless pirouettes that stole the show, even with their casual wear. You see, darlings, ballet is everywhere, it's not confined to the stage.

From my afternoon meanderings to the elegant evenings filled with culture and spectacle, Prague has reminded me that every moment can be a dance, a joyful journey, a story waiting to be told. It is a city brimming with energy, romance, and an effortless charm. I could feel the rhythm of the city's soul pulsing within me, every cobblestone step a graceful pas de deux.

To a World of Pink Tutus!

Darlings, I’m so glad to be sharing this journey with you, and I’ve just got one more thing to say before I go. You know my ultimate aim is to get everyone twirling in a pink tutu, and Prague has simply strengthened this belief! The pink-hued sky over Prague, the blossoming cherry trees, the sweet pink pastries and delicate lace... all this has just added fuel to my mission! This city is practically screaming to join my pink tutu movement. You simply cannot resist the allure of the pink tutu!

Until next week, keep those twirls going!

Love,

Emma
