Prague Pretty, Post Number 1143! š©°š
Hello darling tutus! Itās Wednesday, which means itās time for another Pink Tutu blog post! This week Iām coming to you live from the stunning city of Prague! š
The train journey was delightful ā itās hard to feel anything but cheery when you're whizzing through the European countryside in a plush carriage, all surrounded by pink luggage and my trusty, ever-present pink tutu. The sun was shining and there wasn't a cloud in the sky, which is always a bonus. It just makes travelling so much more picturesque, wouldnāt you agree? āļø
I did take a little detour though. Instead of heading straight into Prague, I had a spontaneous day trip on a little pony to a nearby castle. They even had a lovely little tea room where I tucked into some delicious pastries and enjoyed the views. I always try to make time for some sweet treats when Iām on the road. Lifeās too short not to, eh? š§
Then I finally reached Prague! My first thought? WOW! This city is beautiful. Every corner holds a hidden gem. I spent my first evening wandering around the Old Town Square, taking it all in. Thereās something very special about walking around ancient streets with cobbled pathways and buildings dating back centuries. You can almost feel the weight of history just breathing down your neck.
But as any discerning tutu enthusiast will know, the most important thing when visiting a new city is the fashion! Luckily for me, Pragueās Old Town is full of wonderful independent boutiques. I treated myself to a stunning embroidered pink lace shawl (perfect for a Parisian waltz, donāt you think?) and a new pair of blush-coloured heeled sandals for the eveningās performance. Iāve got to make sure I look my absolute best for the grand finale of this weekās Pink Tutu extravaganza - the ballet! šš
Speaking of which, tonightās ballet was exquisite! The story of the production was simply breathtaking, and the costumes were absolutely to die for. It reminded me a little of a fairytale, with graceful dancing and beautiful sets. The choreography was utterly captivating, and I couldnāt help but sway along to the music, even though I was tucked up in my very own pink tutu!
It really got me thinking about the power of ballet. Thereās just something so elegant and timeless about it, wouldn't you agree? And it doesnāt matter where you are in the world, whether itās a small village in Derbyshire or a grand opera house in Prague, thereās always a sense of shared wonder and excitement at the beauty of the art.
But let's not get too serious, darling tutus! I wouldnāt be me if I didn't indulge in some proper Pink Tutu fun while I'm here. Tomorrow morning, I'm heading to a famous ballet shop to find some new treasures. Theyāve even got an exhibition dedicated to the history of tutus! You know I can't resist a bit of history, particularly when it comes to our fabulous tutus! š
Then itās off to find the best local bakery for some Pink Tutu fuel ā it wouldnāt be a trip to Prague without trying a proper Czech pastry, or trdlo as they call it! Afterwards, Iām planning on catching a street performance by a group of young ballet dancers in the heart of the city. They're said to be absolutely brilliant. Theyāre sure to inspire me with their energy and passion! š©°
Iām so excited to see what Prague has in store for me in the coming days. Iām hoping to do some more exploring, indulge in some delicious local cuisine, and maybe even do a bit of sketching for a future ballet-themed design. Who knows, maybe a little bit of inspiration from the architecture of this wonderful city will even spark a new Pink Tutu creation for my next performance! š
Iāll keep you all updated, darling tutus, and as always, remember: thereās a Pink Tutu for every occasion! š
