Hello darlings!
It’s Emma here, and guess what?! I’m in Prague! And oh, my Tutu, it’s even more stunning than I ever imagined! As you know, my wanderlust is a deep one, and nothing fuels it more than the magic of ballet! So naturally, when I spotted an incredible ballet performance in Prague, I booked the tickets and planned my journey immediately! This week’s adventures started with a leisurely train journey from Derbyshire – such a relaxing way to travel. The English countryside just melted away as the excitement for Prague bubbled inside me.
Of course, before any grand trip, there has to be a little sartorial pre-planning, so a quick stop at a cute little boutique in Derby yielded the perfect tutu for Prague. Pink, of course! It's my go-to colour for every occasion, and Prague deserved the finest in pink, tulle, and dancing spirit! You’ll have to forgive me for being obsessed with pink – there's just something about its sweet, girly charm that fills my soul with such joy!
Now, a little secret for you lovely lot – one of the best parts of my journey? Meeting the cutest little pony! He was helping a young girl with her cart, and, well, he looked so elegant in his white fluffy coat, all ears perked and eager to trot. We just had to have a little chat. I swear, his intelligent brown eyes sparkled as we shared a little sugar cube! (They always do love those little treats!)
Ballet, Prague, and A Dress to RememberRight, back to Prague. It was straight to the hotel once we arrived - oh, my word! This place is right out of a fairytale! Picturesque cobbled streets, charming little shops and markets bursting with colour and life, it's like stepping into a storybook! I simply had to pick up a few pretty pink trinkets – and some local chocolates, naturally – for the Pink-Tutu.com team!
After a quick freshen up (and a little primping, naturally), I headed off for my favourite part of the day - the ballet performance! This particular show was in a historic theatre with beautiful architecture. Imagine gilded details, velvet seating, and a chandelier that looked like a shimmering dream - just picture-perfect! The performance was just as incredible. A delightful blend of classical ballets, interspersed with some modern interpretations. The dancers were exquisite, graceful and passionate, spinning stories through their movements. Oh, how I long to pirouette and arabesque across that stage myself!
Dress Up, and Don't Forget the CoffeeAnd of course, what is a ballerina’s trip to Prague without a little wardrobe shopping? I stumbled upon the most charming vintage store overflowing with Parisian flair. It had to be my happy place. After all, fashion is just as important to me as ballet.
Imagine swirling vintage dresses, flowing silks and the most decadent feather boas. A veritable wonderland for a ballerina who loves to wear a touch of glamour, you might say! I scooped up the most beautiful dress – a dazzling black lace number, with a touch of vintage embroidery, and a splash of blush pink at the waist. Just imagine: this dress, with a statement hat and a sprinkle of delicate jewellery, and of course, the Pink Tutu! You can just picture it now, can't you?! I can practically smell the elegance wafting through the air, don't you agree? And to complete the look, I also picked up a beautiful pink shawl. So versatile – perfect for a balmy evening on a charming cobbled street!
Before finishing this delightful day, I indulged in a spot of "café-hopping." Prague has such a charming cafe scene! Coffee in delicate cups with intricate designs, and delicious pastries that taste like dreams, served with that sweet, quaint atmosphere… bliss!
