Welcome back to Pink Tutu Prague, my darling readers! It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for another adventure in the heart of this beautiful city. I'm buzzing with excitement after another amazing week here in Prague, and I just have to share every glorious detail!
This week was particularly special, because, well, it involved my two favourite things - ballet and, of course, my favourite colour: PINK! Yes, I saw an absolutely stunning ballet performance here in Prague, and it was everything I dreamt of. I just had to share this with you all!
Post #1184 is dedicated to the exquisite ballet experience that had me swirling in my own private little world of pirouettes and pas de bourrƩe for the rest of the evening. I know you've all been wondering (because, let's be honest, a ballerina's life is a mystery to some!), so I'll give you a peek behind the curtain into the pink tutu life and my Prague escapades.
Iām Emma, your favourite Derbyshire girl (don't worry, I never forget where I come from) who spends her time pirouetting around the globe, chasing the latest trends in the world of ballet, and sharing my passion with all of you lovely folks.
As always, I'm wearing my trademark pink tutu. But this time, I paired it with a delicate lace blouse and a smart, yet sparkly, blazer, because we're talking Prague, my dears, and weāre all about style. This trip has been an absolute dream, and the fashion has been off the charts. The bohemian chic here is quite unlike anything I've seen back in Derbyshire - it's so incredibly unique and oh-so-chic!
First, let me introduce you to the stunning city itself. Prague is like a fairy tale, with its cobblestone streets, charming bridges, and majestic castles. I simply adore the magical aura it emanates. But thereās more to this city than just breathtaking scenery, and letās be honest, thereās more to life than a tutu!
Of course, you know Iām obsessed with everything pink! But when I discovered this vibrant boutique tucked away in the heart of Prague, I practically did a grand jetĆ© of joy. My handbag was instantly full of beautiful blush-coloured scarves and adorable little pink bows ā a real treat! Itās amazing to see just how many shades of pink can be incorporated into an outfit, even without wearing a tutu. (Although I will wear a tutu with EVERYTHING.)
And talking about āeverythingā... it would be a disservice to my readers not to share my recent delicious treat. Itās not something you'd find in a tutu-lover's everyday life but let's just say: It's absolutely delicious! Imagine the freshest strawberries you've ever tasted, drenched in heavenly whipped cream, then topped with delicate pieces of honeycomb and drizzled with honey. Heavenly! I promise you, dear readers, youāve simply got to try this absolute gem!
But back to the ballet. I just couldn't resist popping into one of Pragueās gorgeous dance studios. It's this little, family-run gem hidden on a quiet cobblestone street ā truly enchanting. As I walked in, I felt as if I'd stepped back in time, and it was like nothing I've ever experienced before. Itās such a shame my tutu got lost in the carousel during a ride (another, unfortunate, adventure) - I was so looking forward to a private ballet class! I'm a huge fan of the history of dance, from the Victorian era with its light and delicate movements to the rise of contemporary dance and, naturally, the story of tutus themselves. That's why I love a classic dance school ā it has that old world charm I adore!
You've heard me talk about this performance, and I have to tell you about it again ā it's pure magic! Imagine: The exquisite costumes, a timeless story woven through beautiful ballet movements, and of course, those incredible tutus! I donāt think my own pink tutu would ever measure up! It felt as if I'd stepped into a fairytale, a pink one at that, with a sprinkle of glitter. My friends all agreed; I think I was floating as we stepped out of the theater, a cloud of joy circling my head. The best part, the very best part? There was a little after-party at the local ballet theatre cafĆ© and, wouldnāt you know, the champagne was PINK! What else would you expect for a pink tutu princess?
What a day! I can't tell you how lucky I feel to experience such beautiful moments.
But, of course, I couldnāt be fully present in Prague without mentioning whatās really top of my list!
Food. The aroma of freshly baked pastries in the early hoursā¦ The delicate crusts on pizzaā¦ I swear I saw one pink pizza topped with little strawberry swirls! And of course, my obsession: The absolutely perfect, most delicate cinnamon roll, wrapped in fluffy icing, drizzled with delicious raspberry jamā¦ Oh, the divine tastes I've experienced this week! (To all my dear readers back home, I promise I'll tell you more about those cinnamon rolls. Let's be honest, a girl needs to eat to survive!)
Itās just impossible to explain how beautiful this city is. My favourite thing to do is wander aimlessly around Prague. From the Charles Bridge to the Old Town Square, everywhere I turn, thereās something magical to explore!
Thatās my life here in Prague! Ballet, pink, and magicā¦ with a bit of cinnamon sprinkled on top. Of course, this is only a glimpse, so keep those pink tutus ready!
