Pink Tutu Prague: Post 1206 - A Whirlwind of Pink and Passion! 🩰🇨🇿

Hello darlings! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another instalment of my Pink Tutu adventures. This week, I'm bursting with excitement to share my experiences from the most magical city I've ever visited - Prague!

It all began with a beautiful sunrise in Derbyshire. As the sun painted the sky in hues of pink and orange, I knew it was going to be a special day. I'd booked a train journey, you see - my favourite way to travel. Watching the world rush past the window while sipping a steaming cup of tea is pure bliss. The click-clack of the wheels is like the rhythm of a ballet, and the changing landscapes, like the swirling fabric of a tutu!

I arrived in Prague late in the evening, and my heart skipped a beat as I stepped out of the train station. The cobbled streets, bathed in a soft golden glow, whispered stories of history and romance. I felt like I was stepping into a fairytale, and I couldn't wait to explore!

My hotel, the charming Hotel U Prince, was situated in the heart of Prague's Old Town. With its majestic gothic façade, it reminded me of the fairytale castle I used to dream about as a little girl. After settling in, I donned a particularly elegant, cherry blossom-pink tutu and ventured out to see the sights.

Prague is a treasure trove for a fashion enthusiast like me. The architecture, the vibrant street life, the fashion – everything felt incredibly inspiring. The local boutiques were brimming with unique designs and handmade jewellery, and I simply couldn't resist adding a few quirky items to my collection. I snagged a pair of statement earrings with delicate dancing ballerina figurines - perfect for a night at the opera, don't you think?

Speaking of opera, my next stop was the magnificent Estates Theatre. It was on the 18th of July, so I was excited to witness the magical La Bohème. I love opera for its passionate stories, powerful emotions, and its stunning costumes - and of course, for the incredible talent of the performers. The Prague National Theatre was built in the neo-renaissance style and is a dazzling spectacle of its own - it even houses a delightful ballet company, The National Theatre Ballet. How exciting, right?! I might even take a class at their beautiful studio.

But Prague wasn't just about opera and ballet. I indulged my love for the city's rich history by visiting the Charles Bridge. It felt like I was stepping back in time, with its iconic gothic spires and the colourful bustle of street artists and vendors. As I strolled along the bridge, taking in the panoramic views of the Vltava River, I imagined the stories whispered by the ancient stones beneath my feet.

The city truly embraced the beautiful combination of historical and modern architecture, creating a magical and inspiring space to wander. I strolled past the stunning gothic Prague Castle, the heart of the city and its sprawling beauty. It felt like I was living in a living history book!

I have to admit, though, the most whimsical experience I had in Prague was a pony ride through the city. I know, it sounds a little unconventional, but trust me, it was pure magic! The cobbled streets felt like a magical forest path beneath our hooves, and the sun filtering through the leaves made the city seem like a storybook land. And of course, I wore a dazzling hot pink tutu with delicate floral embellishments for the occasion - wouldn't have it any other way, darling!

Oh, did I mention I spotted the cutest pink-painted bicycle while on my tour of Prague? I couldn't resist snapping a photo of it - so naturally, I paired it with my own blush-pink tutu. Every girl should have a beautiful pink bike, wouldn't you agree?

Prague was simply unforgettable! It's a city where you can truly lose yourself in history, beauty, and even a little bit of whimsy. I fell in love with the city and, in a way, felt like I'd found a little piece of myself in its enchanting atmosphere. The magic, the fashion, and the culture - Prague has it all!

Of course, my adventures aren't over yet, dear reader. I'm already planning my next trip to explore more of this beautiful city. I'll be sharing more about my Parisian experience in the coming weeks, but for now, it's time for me to get ready for another dazzling ballet performance - I hear they have some fabulous new tutus in the shop, so I'm sure I'll be bringing back a few souvenirs for you to see next week!

Until then, darling, embrace your inner ballerina! 🩰💖

Love always,

Emma xx
