Prague: Pink Tutu and Ballet Dreams – Post #1275

Hello my lovely tutu-loving friends! It's Wednesday, which means it's time for another fabulous post from your favourite pink-clad ballerina blogger! I'm currently in the magical city of Prague, a place that truly takes my breath away. It's just so…picturesque. Everywhere you look there are charming cobblestone streets, ornate buildings, and of course, incredible opportunities for tutus and twirling!

This week's adventure took me to the stunning National Theatre in Prague. Oh my goodness, you guys, it’s even more beautiful in person! It’s like a dream come to life, adorned with golden details and a grand entrance that could make any ballerina blush.

But the real treat was the show I was lucky enough to see. Tonight’s performance was “Giselle,” a romantic ballet with a hauntingly beautiful story. I adore ballet, and Giselle is a timeless classic that gets me every single time. The graceful movements, the haunting score, and the sheer artistry of the dancers…it all comes together for an utterly captivating performance. It truly is one of those shows you have to experience for yourself.

And yes, I wore my pink tutu, naturally! (Can you imagine? My pink tutu in Prague!) It was the perfect outfit for a night out at the ballet, and I swear, I could have spun all night! The way the tutu twirled and swished around me as I walked, it felt like I was dancing with the city itself!

You see, it's more than just a dress to me; it's an emblem of femininity, grace, and, dare I say it, joy! It represents the freedom to express yourself and embrace your inner ballerina.

Speaking of tutus, while I was exploring Prague, I stumbled upon the most adorable shop in a quaint little street, and you won't believe what I found! Imagine this: a tutu that's all about Czech heritage. A stunning velvet tutu with exquisite floral detailing in shades of burgundy and crimson, inspired by the traditional Czech folk costumes. It was absolutely breathtaking! Now I just need to decide when to wear it - my next performance in Derbyshire or the opera in Vienna, oh dear, tough decision!

But Prague wasn’t all about ballet. I also indulged in some truly amazing shopping experiences. Prague is a shopaholic's dream, from high-end boutiques to independent designers and charming vintage shops. I snagged some incredible lace and floral patterned outfits for my upcoming performance season.

I'm all about combining the timeless beauty of ballet with modern fashion trends, creating a unique style that is as enchanting as it is comfortable. It’s about wearing what makes you feel confident and empowered. And if it happens to be pink and twirly, well, all the better!

And can we talk about food? Prague boasts some fantastic cafes and restaurants. You just have to try their traditional dumplings with beef goulash. It’s comfort food heaven! They also make the best traditional Christmas Markets around, too!

Prague, for me, was an opportunity to indulge my love for ballet and fashion while experiencing the beauty and vibrancy of a city that knows how to live its best life.

To my fellow tutudaughters, if you're ever in Europe, put Prague on your list! You won't regret it!

As always, keep your eyes peeled for more exciting adventures in the next blog! Until then, remember to keep those tutus twirling, embrace your femininity, and stay fabulous!

Love,

Emma,

Your Pink Tutu Princess.

P.S. Did I mention I fell in love with a beautiful chestnut pony named Luna while I was here? I'm thinking about taking her for a spin, just as soon as I master my twirls in my new Czech-inspired tutu! Now, doesn't that sound like an amazing blog post idea? Stay tuned!
