Hello darlings! Emma here, your pink tutu-wearing ballerina from the rolling hills of Derbyshire, and I'm absolutely thrilled to be writing this week's post from the beautiful, historic city of Prague!
As you know, I simply adore travel, especially when it involves ballet, so Prague was a must on my itinerary. The city is simply breathtaking. cobbled streets, charming squares, and a history that sings with the melodies of bygone eras. And don't even get me started on the food! But, as always, we'll get to all that later – first, ballet!
The Pink Tutu's Journey to Prague
Getting here was an absolute dream. Now, I've travelled by pony before (more on that in another post!), but this time I took the train. There’s something so magical about sitting by the window, watching the world glide by – especially when you’re wearing your favourite pink tutu!
The journey itself was an adventure. Imagine: a Parisian café filled with the scent of fresh pastries, an overnight journey under a starry sky, the gentle rumble of the train, and yours truly in my go-to, most darling pink tulle. Talk about a ballerina’s paradise!
A Pink Tutu In Prague's Heart
Now, let's get down to the reason I came to Prague - a truly sensational ballet performance at the stunning National Theatre! As soon as I arrived, I ventured to Old Town Square (so pretty!), where I had to do what every good ballerina does – find the nearest dance store and check out the gorgeous tutus.
Oh, you guys wouldn't believe the colours! But even the most exquisite, multi-layered creations couldn't distract me from my goal - to catch the iconic 'Giselle' ballet. It's a truly powerful story, the dance, the music, it just takes your breath away! I must admit, my little pink tutu did stand out a bit amongst the dark, sophisticated gowns at the theatre, but I figure, more pink, more fabulous, right?
Exploring Prague - Through A Tutu-Coloured Lens
Of course, I wouldn't be Emma without sharing my love for all things fabulous with you. Prague didn't disappoint, not even for a moment. I found some charming boutiques where I could browse the latest tutu-inspired trends and accessories (did I mention my new bejeweled hair clip that looks exactly like a mini ballerina slipper? It's darling!), and discovered some amazing restaurants – one even had pink cocktails, imagine that!
Prague has truly embraced the vintage style, which is right up my alley, from the art nouveau architecture to the shops bursting with antique finds and retro styles. Everywhere I went, I saw something beautiful – something that sparked my imagination, something that would be the perfect backdrop for a tutu-tastic photo op! Pink Tutu Inspirations - A Prague-ful Blog Post!
This week, my inspiration is coming from Prague's charming mix of historical charm and contemporary life.
- *Embrace The Ballet Spirit - * Prague's breathtaking architecture is the perfect setting for a ballerina! I feel so inspired to dance like no one's watching, twirling through its stunning streets and cobblestone squares! (I even tried my hand at some ballet steps in the square, all eyes were on me - and it felt AMAZING!)
- *Explore Vintage Charm – * It's about finding beauty in the details, just like a beautiful tutu, that perfectly placed sequin, the cascade of layers. Let’s bring some vintage glam back into our lives!
- *A Little Pink Goes a Long Way – * This week I’ve learned that just a hint of pink can liven up any outfit. From pink roses in my hair, a pink-striped handbag, to, well, my fabulous pink tutu! Don't be afraid to add a dash of pink to your own wardrobe - a pink-hued scarf, or maybe a pink bow tie - it'll make your style POP!
