Pink Tutu Prague: Where Fairy Tales Come True (Blog Post #1305)

Hello my darling tutu lovers!

It's Wednesday, which means it's time for a fresh Pink Tutu Prague post! This week, I've been living my absolute best life – and trust me, it’s been a pinktastic whirlwind!

First things first: I’ve finally made it to Prague! You might have thought I was going to jet off to Paris, London, or even New York, but Prague has been calling to me for months, and now it's my absolute favourite place in the world! It's so dreamy, so magical, so charming - like a fairytale city! I literally can’t get enough. The architecture, the cobbled streets, the quaint cafés - they’re so enchanting! Just yesterday, I wandered through Old Town Square and felt like I’d stepped straight onto the set of a Disney movie. The clock tower was absolutely breathtaking, and the little cafes lining the square just made me swoon.

Travel Adventures

How did I get here? Well, this time, I decided to trade the bustle of air travel for a more leisurely and enchanting journey - a journey by train, of course! I adore a good train journey – all the dreamy scenery, the click-clack rhythm, the comfy carriages – it's the perfect setting for daydreaming and jotting down blog post ideas! And to make the trip even more fabulous, I arrived in style on a horse-drawn carriage. Can you even imagine?! Talk about a princess arrival! I looked like I had stepped out of a classic fairy tale.

The horse-drawn carriage ride was everything I hoped for – slow and graceful, allowing me to soak in the beauty of the city, watch the colourful street life, and even snag a few fabulous photos for the gram!

Prague, my Love Affair With Tutu Shopping

Of course, my journey would not be complete without some glorious tutu shopping! Prague is a paradise for finding the most fabulous tutu designs, from vintage and quirky to ultra-modern and sleek! My mission here was simple: to uncover the city's hidden tutu treasures and find that perfect pink tutu that will take my heart by storm! And I did! Let me tell you, there are more tutus in this city than stars in the night sky! My favourite find was a vintage tulle tutu, with layers upon layers of shimmering pink silk, topped with intricate lace. This tutu will be making an appearance in my next ballet performance for sure – a definite head-turner! I'll make sure to give you all a sneak peek on my Instagram stories soon!

Prague Ballet Bliss

The real reason for my trip to Prague, however, is a very special reason. Today was a ballet day! And not just any ballet, but a magical ballet performance at the grand National Theatre in Prague. My heart skipped a beat when I entered the building. This building oozed glamour, a historical gem full of hidden passageways and ornate hallways! It’s truly a sight to behold. Then the performance! Wow! It was a performance to remember! They have a unique style in the Czech Republic, the steps, the costumes and the set design was truly wonderful! It's one of those moments that just reaffirms my love for all things ballet - a timeless art that takes my breath away every single time!

The sheer beauty of the ballet, the dedication and talent of the dancers – it was truly moving! Even more exciting? It's not only ballet performance but a place where history comes to life! I am totally enamoured with Prague's incredible ballet history, the story of its first ballet company in 1768! I mean, to think, these ballerinas danced centuries ago on these same stages - that thought just fills me with such awe! The city's ballet history, like its cobblestone streets, feels deeply interwoven with the heart of the city, and it makes for an truly unforgettable experience.

Dinner and Delights

Of course, no Prague escapade is complete without the indulgence of good food! After the show, we dined like true royalty at a delightful, quaint little restaurant – candlelight, the sound of chatter, and mouthwatering dishes with incredible Czech flavour! They also have a lot of lovely coffee houses - if you are feeling peckish, the famous "trdlo" pastries are a must-try, it’s a traditional Czech pastry, and a tasty one too!

My Pink Tutu Journey Continues...

There's so much more to share – the quirky boutiques, the delicious local delicacies, the adorable cafes that I have discovered during my explorations! But for now, I have to say goodnight from my charming hotel room, with its high vaulted ceilings and views that rival those fairytale castles you’ve all dreamed of! Prague really has it all.

As always, I’m eager to hear what you love about the city! What are your favorite things about Prague? And don't forget, Pink Tutu Prague is my new weekly tradition! Keep your eyes peeled every Wednesday on www.pink-tutu.com for more pinktastic adventures from the enchanting city of Prague!

See you soon!
