Prague Dreams in Pink: Post 1314 🩰💕🇨🇿

Hello darlings! It’s Wednesday again, which means it’s time for a fresh dose of pink tulle and travelling adventures from yours truly, Emma! Today, I'm whisking you off to the enchanting city of Prague, a city so breathtakingly beautiful it practically begs for a twirl (and naturally, a pink tutu).

Now, I know what you're thinking: "Emma, how did you manage to get to Prague?" Well, the answer lies in a secret I've been dying to share! Ever since I discovered that some of my ballet performances can actually be funded, my little world expanded tenfold! Turns out, people are actually willing to pay to watch me prance around in a pink tutu, which, let’s be honest, is a pretty amazing outcome in my book! So, thank you to all my amazing supporters. You guys make it possible for me to spread the pink tulle gospel far and wide! And Prague is just one of the many magical destinations that this little tutu-clad ballerina has had the honour of exploring.

This week, I'm stepping back in time and taking a deep dive into the fascinating history of both ballet and the tutu! Did you know that the tutu was originally designed to allow for a more fluid and elegant movement on stage? No wonder I find myself dancing on clouds every time I wear one! And ballet itself has a rich and complex history spanning centuries. It's almost like we are privy to a special secret language. You see the delicate movements, but behind them lies so much thought, discipline, and dedication!

The best part? My time in Prague was all about embracing this intricate history through the amazing world of ballet. The city itself was like a stepping stone back to a more elegant era, its cobbled streets whispering tales of forgotten princesses and handsome princes. Even the air seems to crackle with the romance of bygone times!

The Charm of a Ballet-loving Prague 🩰🇨🇿

This beautiful city was so welcoming, with its charming cafes overflowing with locals engrossed in spirited conversations, and cobbled streets echoing with the laughter of children. Prague’s historic centre, or "Staré Město" in Czech, truly encapsulated this old-world charm. It was almost as if I'd stumbled into a time machine!

Speaking of history, the National Theatre is a real must-see, darling! It’s an architectural masterpiece with an incredible history. Imagine - it’s played host to legendary figures, celebrated artists, and countless heart-stopping performances for almost two centuries! You've gotta love a little bit of theatrical history!

I also discovered this hidden gem - the Prague State Opera. It is located in a beautiful building with gorgeous architectural features. I found myself taking in the elegant chandeliers and gold detailing; it's hard not to be dazzled by this opulent setting. The building's stunning neo-renaissance design only added to the already enchanting atmosphere. It’s a truly magical place, and I highly recommend paying a visit if you’re ever in Prague.

And for a real treat, a stroll across the Charles Bridge is a must! Every little corner had a history to tell, and the sight of those romantic archways and the vibrant street performers with their artistic talents brought the whole city to life. The artistry is contagious in this city, even outside the theatre doors.

And it’s impossible to forget the food! The flavours in Prague are as diverse and interesting as its history. You haven’t lived until you've tasted the delectable Czech goulash. The comfort food aspect was all I needed! There’s a true sense of cultural unity to be experienced at every eatery in Prague! I highly recommend the sweet treats; my sweet tooth had the best time of its life.

And, speaking of sweets, you absolutely have to try trdelník. These heavenly, cinnamon-sugar-coated chimney cakes are practically an icon of Prague! I enjoyed one with my morning coffee each day – what can I say, sometimes a girl needs a treat!

I couldn't resist indulging in Prague’s iconic beer scene, especially when I learned that the city is home to some of the world's best brewers. My inner ballerina took a break, and the pint-loving side of me got to really enjoy it! I tried every flavour I could, all while savouring the lively atmosphere of the many Prague pubs I stumbled upon.

Of course, as much as I adore all the exciting parts of my trips, it's never complete without some quality shopping, and Prague was certainly not going to disappoint me!

I love a good thrift shop adventure, and I knew I had to check out Prague’s vintage clothing scene. There’s something about unearthing a rare beauty in a forgotten pile of clothes, isn’t there? It feels almost as special as finding an antique ballet costume from a past performance. The magic never seems to stop!

My heart sang when I saw all those pre-loved dresses waiting to be cherished. It felt like each one held a story of past glamour and I could just see myself waltzing across a dance floor wearing any one of them! I had to exercise some restraint and resist filling my entire suitcase, but thankfully, a little ballerina can never have too many dresses.

And what’s a trip without picking up a special keepsake for the home? Of course, the streets of Prague were overflowing with cute and quirky trinkets to add to my collection, from tiny ballerina ornaments (always a must!) to traditional Czech marionettes and the most exquisite porcelain dolls - I'm talking a collection of true fairytale characters.

Prague was truly the perfect location to indulge my ballerina lifestyle. And even as my adventures come to a close, it feels as if this city has a magical hold over me, inviting me back for a new chapter of dancing and discovering its wonders. Prague, I know I'll be back!

Ballet Dreams, Tutu Tales, and Prague’s Embrace 💕

From ballet shows that had me entranced, to streets that echoed with the laughter of children, Prague painted itself onto my heart. It was the perfect location to fuel my ballet passion! This vibrant city is a living tapestry of history, art, culture, and, of course, some irresistible indulgence!

Now, let me ask you something – what are some of your favourite travel memories? Do you have a particular city that stole your heart? And have you ever felt that spark of adventure while witnessing a performance? Share your tales with me below! I'd love to hear your stories and get inspired for my next trip!

Until next week, stay rosy and always remember, darling – life’s a beautiful stage, so twirl your way through it, and never stop shining!

See you next Wednesday,

Emma. 🩰💕
